Re: The site as it is now? Or 6 months ago?
its a really tough question. even though im happy at what a success it has become and now how even inexperienced players are using it as a resource to jumpstart themselves into understanding higher levels of gameplay, i feel that with some of the new traffic we lose a lot of what made this site different.
looking at some recent changes and disscussion on changes it was frightening that people can even have an opinion, much less an educated opinion when they dont really understand how our combat system works with itself, loot tables, and gameplay crossing between the casual and the hardcore.
i really think that the quality of the poster overall has been very much dilluted. the spam posts really are starting to get out of control. people have very much deliniated from wanting to take an active part in trying to sumbit feedback for a fundamentally great game with great mechanics to getting hardon over a card game that has absolutely no implication other than detering from teh enjoyment of everquest 2. also people getting a nutjob over being able to look different than what they wear, i mean seriously why do you care, as well as then comlain that tanks will be able to look like they are wearing robes and using candycanes.
do you not see the difference of what people find important between this?
"how can we balance this game?" is now equal to "do u think my butt looks fat in my set pants?"
that and spam is my only beef. as far from LFGs and the moderators standpoint they really only can or should try and control one of those.
