also, as i said before, this section should be reserved for the true classics, not just merely "good" or "entertaining" threads, but really the best of the best, threads everyone will remember after reading (and this isn't directed to you izzdar, just a general note).
this being a site where flaming is encouraged, good flames are a dime a dozen. sure they're entertaining, but nobody is really going to remember them a few days after the subject dies. the truly epic threads, however, will stick with you, and are the ones that really need to be seperated from the others. imo, there shouldn't be that many threads in the new section at this point, but at the end of the day its LFG's website, and the final decision on what makes the grade and what doesn't is up to him.

Re: suggestion for new section of the forum
What about also editing the spam crap replies in the epic threads?
Some replies actually have intelligent discussion and a conversation with the OP of the RaR. But I can't stand trying to find a funny/useful post or quote on a thread to show someone and needing to go through 20 pages of "ur a retard!" repeated 50 different ways by different people or the last 10 pages of the thread with "i post on epic thred b4 it get locked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!! !!11"

Is way too much work, plus there too much gray area between spam and content.

You suffer through the fluff of daily life for the interesting parts of the day, what's so different about doing the same on the forums ^_^ ?

Re: suggestion for new section of the forum
Cause my daily life has like... one interesting part to it... and if i could stop the fluff stuff i would!
Shrug, I just read the linked forum, customers suck or something? And noticed the 'war stories' section didn't have any replies connected to the OP's posts. It was confusing to read some since you just read one side of a convo, but it went straight to the juicy stories, unlike the redundant pointless posts of some on eq2flames (and hey, i'm not denying I'm not one of the contributers to pointless/non amusing/redunant posts, i just wouldnt mind if crap posts (even mine) were deleted from threads that are going to stickied and locked and put up in a special section for easy location of them.
edit- but i understand this would be a shitty way to spend your time, picking and choosing what replies are 'worthy.' was just a suggestion

the linked forum and these ones operate in two very different ways tho. in those, its people telling of their experiences with sucky customers, so very rarely if ever are others on the board actually involved, they just comment on the story. because of that, it makes sense for just the OPs posts to be shown because 99% of the time none of the other posts contribute to the story of what happened.
here, however, the forums are very different. posts here generally involve many posters, and the original post isn't always the source of the "epicness" of the thread. often its the flames following the original post or the responses to the original post that make the thread what it is. so really, it wouldn't be feasible to go through each one and cut out the parts that don't contribute just because of the massive amounts of time it would take. the one exception would probably be threads who don't really start to heat up until a couple pages in, in which case you could just delete everything between the OP and where the real flaming starts.
edit: thats not to say its a bad idea, its just not feasible because of the amount of time it would need.

Re: suggestion for new section of the forum
I'd like to nominate the first major flame this site had (To my knowledge), Because it was kinda the thread that really got the ball rolling.
