Why is there a moderator for the Nektulos forums?

I put Talonis as the mod of all server sections except the PVP ones a while back.

The reason I did that was mostly to have another pair of eyes to get rid of RMT and other commercial spam, and also to get rid of porn and racist comments.

Why on earth would you pick him? Did you not see the horrible job he did as a mod for Nagafen? A mod may be needed but I really think it should be someone who doesn't resolve everything by suspending people. But it is your forum so your choice.

I trust him to watch the server sections when I can't, and that is what he's doing. Someone needs to do that, we get hit with an amazing amount of commercial spam and crap now. I'm still deleting about 10 new spammer accounts each day from Russia, China, and India.

If I didn't have a server mod to watch for spam and porn especially, I'd need to make it so new users couldn't post until I personally approved each one. That would lead to huge delays and unhappiness.

Talonis has been a good, below-the-radar mod on the PVE server sections to this point. He's been doing that for about a month now, and Pinski bringing this up in this thread is the first time anyone's even noticed or said anything about it.

The Nagafen situation was different. Those forums were out of control for a bit and needed a correction. Now everything is once again under control there. Regardless of what you think about what happened in the Nagafen forums previously, we no longer have problems there. I'm satisfied that the two step solution I employed to accomplish that end was effective.

I actually enjoyed watching crybabies on the Naggy forums throwing temper tantrums when Talonis came in. Seriously, he banned the first people he needed to, then other people flipped, became idiots, and did a shitload of things they shouldn't have, and Talonis suspended them. Best part is, THEY KEPT COMING BACK FOR MORE! Props to Talonis imo.

EDIT: Suspending them was the only way to shut them up, for a period of time anyway. They weren't going to listen to Tal and if you think they were you're an idiot.

Some people needed to be suspended. I was suspended and tbh I'm not going to say I shouldn't have been. However, he would suspend people that flamed him, broke 0 sight rules just flamed him and spoke out how they felt, which is the main reason of this site.
I'll admit he doesn't seen to be so suspend happy right now, and if he just filters out porn and other links of that sort than np.

True, he suspended people for flaming him, but they SPAM flamed him in everything every 30 seconds tbh.

Not 100% true. I remember somebody making a thread which had other possible reasons to cut down on the spam/suspensions of the Nagafen forums, and he warned them.

Cal, about 30 people all made about 50 threads about the same thing, I would've warned/suspended people too.
