I just added a couple hundred of the most used "high anonymous" worldwide proxy/socks/web servers to our IP ban list. The purpose of these servers is to allow people to hide their IP number when using the Internet.
This should only affect the more technically sophisticated people who are attempting to register multiple accounts or post here in violation of Site Rules.
The purpose of the Site Rule that restricts one person to one account is to minimize problems by anonymous posters, griefers, and banned users.
The 200 IPs I banned are static and appear to be the most frequently used by hardcore anon troublemakers worldwide. There is no way I can ever get or know about them all. All I can do is make things more difficult for dumbasses on this site.
If this mass banning has affected you or anyone you know in anyway, please IM or email me at
elleffgee@comcast.net rather than starting a 99 page post about why I'm an asshole. I can unban individual IP numbers if I've cast the net too wide or if there is a reason you need to use an anonymizer. We can work it out, so please don't freak out on me.
Thanks
