Here's the problem bud: Some jackass with mod rights recently went in and unbanned every fucking person on this site who had been previously banned, including all plat spammers and people like Yuyoy and Skrye.

In addition, we've had recent situations where some mods have tried to ban other mods. This experiment blew up, and now some mod rights have to be restricted.

If any mod or class leader needs to ban anyone before I can get this situation worked out with Niber, please contact Niber or myself and we will be happy to assist you.

My basic policy is that I do not micromanage our mods and class leaders AT ALL. If they have a reasonable, justifiable reason for doing something, I will support their decision virtually 100% of the time. Bottom line is, please try and play nice and work shit out between each other, because I will support all mods equally unless someone is being totally retarded.

I'm going to agree that the spirit of the Guidelines permit a bona fide guild member to request that a recruiting post go back on topic in a server section. This narrow exception applies only as stated.

I also agree that my ruling in this case is ex post facto in nature, and will therefore entertain a benevolent amnesty in this case after a suitable timeout period to be determined.

No, what I said was, I'll prolly unsuspend them after they cool off for a couple hours. I'm saying that in my opinion, Talonis was justified in his decisions in this case, but I'm also making the equitable call that because the Guidelines at issue weren't exactly defined by a previous common law ruling, I'm willing to cut some slack in favor of the defendants and release them early on a suspended sentence.

First, I completely disagree with the ban. As far as I'm concerned if you post a recruitment thread in the server forums you deserve to be flamed. We have a recruitment forum for a reason, it's flame free.

Second, it saddens me that I have to deal with moderation issues every fucking day. It's obvious the moderators are doing more harm than good and I plan to either neutering their privileges or removing them completely.

This is not the SoE forum. This is EQ2-fucking-Flames.
