I am saying I believe it is fundamentally uncool, and goes beyond the bounds of human decency, to out a dev by naming his toon so he has to stop playing EQ2.

Magank did this in t6, and because at the time his source was in the guild and couldn't post screenshots or name names he just got scoffed at.

I think all the devs should play this game, it's the only way they can get good at their job and understand the game, but here's the other side of the coin. THEY LET THEMSELVES BE KNOWN somehow or in someway. Either by giving up information normal players wouldn't know about it, doing things normal players can't do, or wanting some epeen in their guild.

More than you know? Have you ever considered that maybe they want to do shit but can't because, oh I dunno, they're not in fucking charge? Or have you considered they don't want to do shit in a way that fucks over players because THEY PLAY, but they have to?

I think the stupidest fucking thing you can do is chase off a guy who plays EQ2 more than most of us and sees the content we see and is in a better position to bitch about it and hopefully get it changed than we are.

In the same sentence that you bitch about SOE not listening to us, you bitch about one of the smarter devs who is in the position to hopefully change it.

If anything out Domino, that is why I voted "NO" to the new rule, but even I haven't outted her because I just don't see the point. She is doing good shit for crafters.

As for the race changes, get over it, they're meaningless - and I say that as a class that would benefit from being a DE. However I don't think a short term buff and 15% stealth speed is omg game breaking.

I don't see how outting them matters anyway, that is what ignore is for.

Its lame to do it though, as I don't think anyone would say I'm a Domino fan and I ranted about her for an entire night and more, and I never outted her.

Yes, because just like I'm sure you'd risk your job to help out one of your friends they would do the same.

You act like they volunteer at SOE as devs and then go to a real job after work to, oh I dunno, pay their fucking rent.

You are aware according to that comment that means Devs shouldn't play this game, because being in the group/raid/whatever helps them win, right?

Honestly, as I said, if a dev wants privacy let him have privacy. But if a dev doesn't care about the privacy, then let people post his name. Honestly, I'm pretty certain a few devs don't really care about being outted and it's pretty much common knowledge about who's who amongst devs that don't mind not having the privacy, because if they had a problem with it they'd have either left the guild or changed their name or whatever by now.
