Request for Feedback: New Rule
I want to add a new Site Rule to prevent people from posting the player names of devs.
I think that is EXTREMELY FUCKING UNCOOL and I just deleted a post from someone who did that.
If your goal is to try and chase them off this site so they never use it and we never have any interaction with them, you are succeeding.
I'm asking for community feedback on this before I just go ahead and do it.

Re: Request for Feedback: New Rule
Outing a name in that manner is juvenile at best. WTH do people hope to accomplish with that shit?

Re: Request for Feedback: New Rule
This is a fucking retarded idea. There is nothing wrong with outing who a Dev's characters are, it's not like they are keeping it a secret at all. Granted I don't disclose who the dev's chars are but there still shouldn't be a rule against it.

Re: Request for Feedback: New Rule
No one really cares that guilds have devs in them anymore, so I could really care less.
If a dev wants privacy in game, though, they should have that right, and this site should be moderated accordingly.

To be fair and honest, what fucking feedback have they taken from us? They copy our ideas for epics, then surprise surprise, fuck up raid content, avatars, take months to fix things that should have been put in game properly. Maybe you like getting your face slapped, but *a*i*r* can aeralik-my-balls after the race changes.

QFE. If somebody wants privacy so be it, but other than that, who really cares if somebody outs a SOE Team Member.

Re: Request for Feedback: New Rule
Just think of what's going to happen if you put this in and certain dev guilds start talking mad shit about all the firsts they mysteriously get after thing get fixed without patch notes. Not that the competition means shit, but ever wonder why it's usually same ones?
No one's outed the good devs (if there are any), why would anyone want to, but protect Aeralik? what the fuck has he done.

Hows that slippery slope? The poll is about giving away their character names, not their guilds. There's a big difference, the developers who actually raid in their free time deserve our praise not our ridicule.

I think its a good rule - people should have right to be anonymous. But I don't know why I get this feeling that a select few of them reading this site is doing any good at all.
