AoC Guild recruitment

Having played AOC beta and EQ2, there is no comparasion between the two. The graphical difference is amazing. Will this hurt EQ2? Most definately, this is no Vanguard.

IMO ROK and the way it was released is what is hurting EQ the most right now. The itemization is horrible. Having to quest to level in a decade is horrendous, releasing an unfinished product...well.......

I played Vanguard beta, and I'm currently in AoC closed beta, and I can tell you, these two games have nothing in common. Saying AoC will fail because Vanguard did just has no basis in reality. It's like saying the new Adam Sandler movie is going to flop because Waterworld did, there is just no fucking connection whatsoever.

I can tell you that in Vanguard, during the week leading up to release, everyone in beta was saying "I can't believe they are going to release this pile of shit, it needs at least another year". Updates were few and far between, and the few updates that did come really did not help anything.

Now in AoC, in the global beta chat people are saying, "RAWR, Conan rocks!!" and really loving this game. Just in the last 4 or 5 days there have been two major updates, and those updates have drastically improved an already great game.

Of course everyone is different, so some people will love AoC, and some will hate it. But I do know that this game will not be the same sort of flop Vanguard was. I'd put money on it.

Didn't hordes leave VG because SOE took over publishing? I sure hope Funcom can keep their game clean from going to station access

AoC is a very very good game, its fun, the graphics are awesome, and i suspect that a lot of eq2 players will leave the game for AoC within the first week of release. It's just that much fun and grabs ahold of you to break your eq2 addiction.

RoK killed eq2 a long with the cheating bs, the cries that fell on deaf ears, the horrible class "adjustments" **looks at the rangers** poor guys. The awful gear that's came out of the expansion, blah blah blah. For the cocky guilds that did use devs in their guild to get ahead...have fun raiding end game content with the other 24 people left on your server, smile and say we helped bring down the fall of a really good mmo. But, it's ok right? Cheaters always win :D Three cheers for the developers too, those guys are awesome. K let me load AoC back up.
