might be different over here (Aust.) to over there. we have a shortage of psychologists here, and almost 100% of the students that do honours get employed, and paid pretty fucking well.

it seems like every psychologist is seeing game addiction as the new thing. Never before have i seen so many people flock to something blown way out of proportion.

If you want some real information about game addiction (albit out of date) Go see MMo gamers - Issue 1, october 2001 and my website (GamersInfo.net - Main). I talk about addiction a lot, and it's not the end all that people think it is.

You might find yourself futher in the field if you try to work on drug or sex addiction - has many of the same addicting features of games but its called something different...

Closing Statment. Yes game addiction does exist. No It's not spiriling out of control. Yes It's preventable.
