Ok, now I understand why people are complaining about missing posts, and suggesting TEH MAN is now monitoring this board and seekretly deleting posts.

The site was moved last nite, from one server to another. This was done for the reasons explained in the linked thread above. We have been paying for premium hosting, but another user on our shared server was spiking the load and memory often, which was causing poor performance, and for the system to crash and need frequent rebooting.

We are now off that problem server. Performance so far on this new server (we were moved about 7 hours ago) seems very solid, consistent, and fast by comparison.

If we lost a small number of posts made between when the move was started and ended, I'm sorry. But that was a one time issue that won't reoccur, since we don't plan on moving again.

Apparently, the move was done, the server and our URL was switched to the new IP, and then people continued posting on the old site until DNS caught up, and any posts they made during that time went to the old server and are now gone.

Again, very sorry, please repost, this was a one time problem.

If anyone really feels like they got screwed by this, like their Internet Magnum Opus has been lost and destroyed, I'll even give you a title on this site to make it up to you. Just post below with what title you want, following the rules in the Hall of Fame section, and Calthine will hook you up later today. Please do not bullshit me either, this was mostly a Euro/Asian time zone problem, hardly any US users should have actually lost posts because of this, because most of them should have been asleep during that time.
