1-7-07: VanguardFlames.com is live

We still need some tuning and numerous FAQ and rules documents ported over, but the basic site is now up and ready to be used:

www.vanguardflames.com or
www.vgflames.com

If you registered on eq2flames on Jan 6 2007 or before, you should be able to log into this site using your regular user name and password. Please try logging in using your existing eq2flames login and password before attempting to register a new user account.

Please post all questions and feedback in the Admin section at the bottom of the main page.

Please try and help make this site look populated by making intelligent posts in the appropriate sections - I will greatly appreciate that.

Hey LFG, it registeres my account and I can log in, but i get a message when I tried to post that says i have to log in to post or dont have permission.

n/m by the lock on the icon next to the topics i see it says "forum is closed for posting".

You must be logged into the site for those locks to disappear

If you were infact logged in, and Niber had the forum closed anyway, please accept my humble apologies for being a smartass.

However, we have discovered an issue. And that is, that even though we've paid full boat for two legit copies of this forum software, vbulletin has a problem with being used for two diff sites running out of the same IP number.

What's happening now is that it is almost impossible to log in to the vg site without getting autologged out by the software based on a cookie issue.

We've temp disabled www.vanguardflames.com, but www.vgflames.com is still opened, and can be used.

Do what I did till we fix it prz, if it isn't letting you in on Firefox, please try IE.

We will get to the bottom of this soon.

In the meantime, it would really really help out if people could start a post or two in those terribly empty forums. I can't really publicize the site until it stops looking empty, or send a nice, polite email to the VG community manager introducing ourselves and expressing my condolences about our new flamesite joining his happy community.

well I agree IE is scary, but to be nice I tested Vgflames I cant not open from firefox or IE.... OPRA next? hehe

Strang I still cant get in, adn the page I get up is strange locking like Im locking towards a FTP (thinks its called that anyway Sharhing thingy)

Edit: www.vanguardflames.com doesn't seem to work, www.vgflames.com does work though.

Heh, Spikke, I run reports that show 68 percent of our users using IE, 31.8 percent of our users using Firefox, and .2 percent of our users using Opera.

You must be that .2.
