Haha, I finally figured out how Johnathon got 140 referrals on this site.
Check out the eq2 wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EverQuest_2
Scroll down to the EQ2 fan site section at the bottom, you'll see a link to this site.
It has Johnathon's user ID as referrer, which automatically gives him credit for any new user who signs up after clicking that link:
