Registration age requirement now enabled on this site
I just wanted to explain a change, it's really no big deal. The Site Rules prohibit anyone below the age of 13 from using this site, period.
When a new user registers on this site, they must now indicate their date of birth.
I really don't want to know what your birthday is, lol, and in fact have all the happy birthday junk disabled. The only reason the system now forces a new user to disclose his or her date of birth it to prevent people below the minimum age from registering.
Anyone who tries to be funny and enter a lower age will be in for a rude surprise - they will be permanently unable to register, at all, even if they put in an earlier date of birth.
No, we haven't gone corporate on you. These things are necessary because we allow users to use the F word on this site if desired. We can't have the young'uns participating in the sort of fun and intense debate we allow on this site.
