In PvP classic games you have novel rulesets but also an evolving set of human opponents. Even if the content stays the same, the players don't.

I never lost interest in EQ classic.
Besides, what is the downside here exactly? They make the new server, with no cost to themselves, no added content, and you get at LEAST 200k+ people to subscribe again for one month. Free money for no work. Where is the downside?
