Just a suggestion to everyone.

This is Calthine's goodbye post.

If this was my goodbye post, I'd be sad that it turned into a flame post.

Calthine has added a lot to this site and brought a lot of credibility and helped get things done I would not have been able to do myself. I appreciate what she's done here and hold zero ill will toward her for taking employment that's paying many multiples of what I was paying.

I still intensely dislike Tamat, however, and am proud of my efforts, and the response of this site, that may or may not have torpedoed him from further consideration for the EQ2 Community Manager position. SoE definitely made the right decision by picking Grimwell, there is no doubt about that.

But my dislike for Tamat and IGE has nothing to do with Calthine, and I sincerely wish her the best of luck and am actually happy for her, that she's able to make a much better salary doing what she likes to do.

That's all I wanted to say.

I tend to read a lot on this board, and not post a heck of a lot so you wont recognize my name, but I wanted to take a moment and say thank you for all of your hard work on eq2flames.

These boards are, to say the least, volitile at times, and always a good read. You have handled very challenging situations with poise and tact, trying always to be neutral in your moderating of us crazy folks. You should be commended. Your wit will be missed!

Calthine - I guess I just think you should've passed up going to the Summit in LFG's place if you had no intention of working for his site anymore... you know so he could send someone who had EQ2Flames best interest in mind instead of Zam's. Like Niber or something. /shrug. I guess I just see it as shady to accept what was basically a gift when you knew before hand you wouldn't be working for LFG anymore.

If Zam's wanted you at the Summit they should've sent you.

Moorgard started EQ2 as the Community Manager. I'm sure you're aware. He moved to development when a certain somone got promoted. About the same time Faarwolf quit iirc.

But MG was the person who founded the EQ2 community and made it was it is. BG and Faar had a lot to do with it also. None of them are at SOE any longer and two of them, who were probably the most prominent, are at GMG.
