Some signatures are created for the purpose of causing LFG grief. Those, are lame, and so are the people that make them.

Really sorry Snark, but I hadn't noticed it until now. The size limit is 130 x 600 - I'd appreciate if you could help me out and reduce the height on yours.

The reason I need to do it uniformly to everyone is once people start going over and I don't enforce it, I once had a guy make a 8.5 x 11" sig file.

But honestly, tell me why people don't complain to the person involved, or openly about the person? I'm not disagreeing with you. But I think a lot of people post here, even though this is a flame site, but they don't use this site for the purpose of flaming. They are the type of people who like to read about other people's drama without participating in it themselves. Every guild has some people who are quiet and don't get involved in drama themselves, you know what I mean.

I think the rule we will need to use going forward is that when I get a private complaint about someone's sig file, I'll put up a public vote on it (with vote names shown), and ten votes in favor of removing that sig file will be enough to get it removed.

Calib has been pretty cool about everything with me so far, and has voluntarily removed his sigs and limited his actions everytime I've talked to him about it. I honestly think he should consider a career in advertising, because he seems to have a real knack for making things stand out so they can't be missed, and for being able to draw a huge amount of attention to something. If he applied that in a positive, money making way, he could possibly be the next Mr. Madison Avenue =p

That wont work. The voting would be too biased and pretty much just a popularity contest. If people like you.. you can keep it. If people hate you or think you are annoying as hell... you'll lose it even though if people did vote fairly you would of kept it because it just didnt bug people.

You tell me what I should do then, I'm at a loss for how to make a system work, and we need a rule in place or I will be accused of unfair enforcement and censorship.

I'm willing to adopt any reasonable rule for sigs that people can agree on.

You should have them change it if it's obviously annoying. But you should also post the PMs you're getting from the "quiet" people. You're on a flames site, and you don't want to get involved in drama? How the hell does that work.

I personally don't have a problem with any sig anybody wants to put up (within reason, nudity for example already isn't allowed). I don't even know if mine is within size limits... but it's really 2 different ones lol, and i haven't heard anything against that.
For the people who complained because they couldn't read this at work: you should be fired anyway! get to work and quit lurking on video game flame forums... you're all a bunch of real estate agents! HA.

Basically i ask that you just use your judgement. If you get numerous complaints (not all in the same guild or something like that) about a sig then look at it and delete it if you feel it is needed. However is just one person complains i feel is no real hurt to the site.

I agree my sig should have been changed. I put it up and forgot people use these boards at work. Sorry for the problem I caused but I really do love cock.
