Imo this will equal little more then a popularity contest. would it be nonstop flaming or have a rule set and only allow X amount of responses?

I think it should go on until there is an obvious gap in replies....I.E. running out of material, or just done answering in the thread. Stopping posting doesn't mean a loss though. But there would have to be a minimum posting amount, so you'd have to learn not to shoot your wad in the first reply.

And they'd be a waste of space/bandwidth. A single person flaming another single person over and over is dumb. There is no case of randomness, it's just blah blah with a bunch of dumb shit thrown in, which in return will never stay on the main topic which started the entire thing which results in the flame being pointless dribble.

Why would it? Instead you'd have 100 different posts, because a Duel involves 2 people, not the 10 people that go back and forth as on certain threads. So we'd have to end up with this guy vs. those 5(5 different posts!), and then the other 4 guy vs. those 5(so on). So that gives us 25 dumb threads.

Kind of boring, when someone flames another person in a thread people can chime in, and that's what makes it interesting.

Person verus Person in one thread gets old, and fast.

And if this were to actually ever happen, rules would need to be placed on said flame fests~
