I miss flame-chat
LFG....
It's soooo hard to cyber via PMs 
All the delay between what i send and what Phov replys with just totally kills the mood.
Will the chat function ever come back?

Here's the thing darlin. In terms of expense, that pos end up costing more than the software for this entire board. And it was filled with bugs and security flaws. We've been far more stable, with fewer hax attax, since we got rid of it.
Perhaps Mr. Niber could locate a suitable replacement, or sumpin, just something that can be used by a normal site like this one without degrading our performance, isn't ridiculously expensive, and is sold by a guy who isn't looney toons.
So, Niber?

Not really that big of a deal =)
I cheat at work by bypassing the block on chat programs with trillian on a USB stick that I just plug in everyday. LOL
But yeah...not may people ever even used the chat function with the exception of major EQ2 down days like the expansion day.
I doubt there are enough people who would use it to make it worth you paying for.
I'll just keep sending Phovidian PMs and hope he doesn't decide to post them for the world to read. Muwahahaha!

Not while at work, no.
And I actually havent been in game in about a month and a half. But Im kinda like Calbiyum, I cant stay away from these boards.

I always used to go in that thing :/ even spammed people with pms to join me, and no one ever was in there 
But yes, there has to be another solution, java chat program hosted elsewhere, something...
