What is the next great improvement this site needs?

I'm still kind of blown away by the success we've gotten by adding the new class sections - thanks again Illuminator for suggesting and resuggesting that until I did it.

Based on the new class sections, our average new users per day has doubled, consistently, and our average users on line has gone up about 200 during prime hours.

So why stop now? What else can we do to get to the next level?

(don't say graphics, I know about that and will do it this weekend).

Any ideas?

The official site has a forum for tradeskilling. We were too elitist in trampling it out here, because crafting for all its faults is still a large part of the game. Even I am still making Adept 3's each week for both my alts and other players, and doing commissioned work regularly.

EDIT: And I still think "Spells, Combat Arts, Abilities, and Achievements" should be merged into "Combat Discussion".

Turn that newly made SOE announcements board into a place where test and live update notes can be posted. You could also possibly do something like Silkyvenom and track dev posts on the official boards and put them into a section as well.

For what its worth, I like to think of these boards as more "hardcore" and whatever else. Everyone pretty much agree's that these boards are primarily focused on the upper end crowd right?

I say leave it like that. I cant stand noobs in any form and frankly if you dont know how to tradeskill your a god damn moron. Its the easiest thing ever.

We had a dev tracker (from the official forums) but when they chose to upgrade their software they removed the capability (rss feeds). Grimwell said they are looking into implementing it again in the future so we're waiting until that time.

Sometimes tradeskilling topics are a Q&A for beginners, sometimes they're about market economy, and other times they're about epic drops that are usable by crafters. Or hell, maybe long-time TS'ers have a need to bitch and piss and moan about crafting problems the way we do with raid problems.

Sometimes a n00b finds something weird while soloing and then asks what seems to be a stupid question and before you know it, a long thread ensues that leads to a discovery of a mechanics bug.

Personally I'm all about the flourishing of information, and the more participants, the more information. What keeps us here in a better position than the official forums is that nothing is off the table and nobody is exempt from being called a stupid fuck if they talk out of their ass.

Besides, raid players don't always last forever, and what better way to raise up the next generation of eq2 raiders than to encourage the n00bs to visit these forums instead of the official ones, to read and absorb what we have to say?

That's my take on it.
