Nope, bandwidth has never been an issue (even on a 10mbp/s line). That's why we added the photo hosting and whatnot. It's really a non-issue there.

Processor / RAM has been what has plagued us and generally during the day when traffic is the highest. With the expansion we shouldn't come anywhere close to using our full resource capability.

Also, vent and/or game server traffic would primary be off-hour resources (ie. after work hours) which fits in well in the grand scheme. However, if it becomes a problem of course we would scale back there first.

Downtime for a single small issue= 2weeks+

And the challenger!!!

Niber transferring whatever the heck from old to new and not screwing things up in the process and having 0 downtime during the transition backed with a yearly salary the equivalent of working at Domino's delivering for 1 day,

Downtime= non existent.

Honestly, wtf Sony. You fail at life.

Thank you for the kick ass site. I should have donated ages ago. If you get too many donations you could hold more contests .... maybe something nice and anti-platseller next time.

LOL not that $12-15 is anything I wouldn't pay for this site, but do the 20 or so that have donated get grandfathered in?

Anyway, $12-15 a year, one time, whatever it is is not outrageous. Its lower than what you 2 have made it worth.

I hope you stick with the forum software, I love the features it's got, liek the postbot and stuff. Floating topics and threads as in the "old" official forums would be really nice too, if that's doable. :P

First of all Good Job LFG, Its awesome to see the community grow from the small user base we had at the beginning to the current awesomeness it is now. It’s been a real treat.

Second I don’t think $15 is unreasonable for ad-free viewing.

Third Vent/IRC Hosting would be awesome

Fourth Anyway we can get Mobile Support for the site lol, I know it sounds fiendish but I used my Cell Phone/Blackberry a lot to check Email/Facebook etc and wouldn’t mind checking EQ2 flames on it to, but the formatting and large page size makes it a pita.

Fifth, Niber if you pull off the transition better than the SOE one I will seriously bow down to your tech greatness lol.

And sixth, Petgroup you rule, that’s hilarious and sadly so true.

Larry Ellison from Oracle once offered the Federal Government all the free resources they'd need to database-back a national ID system. If I were President, I'd have taken him up on it. Fuck bureaucracy.
