I have no idea how you'd even come close to regulating this but I think it'd be funny to have a Chinese Farmbot competition. Organize into six man crews and see who can farm the most gold in a couple hours or something. No bars on what zones you can go to or what tactics you can use except they can't use outside help (including broker, mail, handing off gold, etc). Maybe just have everyone roll level 1 characters on Test with names without vowels. :P

Another fun one might be an arena champions tournament. Like no one plays arena champions anymore but if you just had a bunch of competitions on organized teams for something like EQ2Flames t-shirts it might actually convince people to play again. It might be tough getting everyone on an equal level as far as actually having the right arena champs go on whatever server you use (test?). Arena PvP with characters is unfortunately horrible on regular servers (unless they changed it recently it was still using PvE duel rules, so you could chainmezz people and stuff). Something like a level 10 group PvP tournament might be fun for giggles though.

Highest parse I think would just be too gimmicky and easy to game. I guess it'd be interesting trying to see guilds figure out what class to organize around and then superbuff them for a good zonewide... I suspect it'd pretty much just be a competition between a small handful of guilds though.

As I said in another thread (I had trouble locating this one due to its weird categorization), I suggest that the next contest in the future should be a zone design competition, with team submissions allowed. Layout map and mob behaviors, plus loot designs should be included by the entrant where feasible. The zone can be any kind of zone, and everyone will have multiple votes, with a 3-way runoff for the winner.

Again, just a suggestion. But it would encourage a lot of vocal players to put their money where their mouths are.

Perhaps a Macro contest would be fun.?

Reading the cat macro thread is awsome. Funniest stuff I've seen in a long time. maybe once a week LFG (or a member) can post a random picture and for the next week members add text to it. Evereyone votes on which was the best of the bunch.

Then someone adds text

dunno just an idea, and could make for some funny threads to read at work.
