Can we like make it a rule to upload pictures to imgur or tinypic or directly via the attachments on this site? Because it stresses bandwith of other sites that aren't used for the purpose of image hosting and stuff.

Most sites that complain about hotlinking are being chicken shit about not getting ad revenue more than any "strain".

Isn't taking someone else's image and reuploading it to your own image hosting site considered plagerism, though?

Plagiarism isn't a crime. As long as you give credit to where you took the image, it is perfectly acceptable assuming the image is not behind a paywall. Due to fair use.
