I agree the header sucks and it annoys me greatly. But there's an added complication in designing a header because vBulletin actually scales depending on your resolution. (You can actually test this by dropping your resolution in Windows and then reload the demo.) That's no excuse of course but that's part of the battle we're facing. Hopefully once it goes live we can begin to tackle that issue with a 3rd party.

Another hurdle has been that it's hard to explain what we want to a developer who's never played EQ2. Although, to his credit.. he has been amazing and has tweaked the site for us more times than I can count. LFG and I have a very narrow view of the way we want things to look and I think overall we've succeeded in offending as few people as possible. (Time will tell..)

Overall I'm very impressed by what has been implemented so far. I think the night blood is amazing and Lucan seems fitting.

As far as skin goes I think overall the new skin is a little warmer and flamier(?)

The left side of the forum does look a bit rough... If you aren't going to continue the flames in the background of the text I'd just loose them altogether and make each title "Member Area" and "Sponsored Links" standalone images.

Also the post background and the text of the post could have a little more contrast. just making that brown a couple of levels lighter would help I think. Just opinion of course.

Also I just noticed now that you guys have your new reply on the left (I've always just used quick reply because I couldn't find the button). The norm is for eyes to go left to right and at the end of the post you are left looking to the right for a button. But it's been there all this time so i guess you can't really change it. (but the button is MUCH more noticeable which is awesome)

Overall it's not as polished as this skin, but you gotta do what you gotta do to bring in revenue.

We can't continue the flames in the background on the left side because the image is feed directly from the advertising provider. Meh, I kinda like the border though.

Mmm, button has always been on the left (even on this site) the quick reply button will work as same as it does here so you shouldn't notice any change.

Yes, it will be the current skin. No, there will be no going back (advertising is only on the new skin).
