My initial reaction is that it's someone wanting to cause trouble reporting the site. Like Michael Lee Wells, but probably not him, because he's probably still in prison. Probably some nag-fag since it started in that section.
It's only weird if it doesn't work.

I don't think Google's Safebrowsing Index accepts "reports" really. It has GoogleBot to scour the internet.

Also, you cannot say it started anywhere. Our visitors said it started there because of the section popularity. Googlebot might have flagged 10 sections at random and we only saw the one.

The randomness is also determined by GoogleBot's frequency of reindexing pages due to perceived frequency of change in addition to the less than 100% chance that a malware AD will be offered. Visit the same page 5 times, you might only get a malware AD once.

Maybe not reports, but there could be people who figured out how to game the algorithm, much like they used to do to get websites to the top of google searches. Just saying, we tend to piss people off, and you guys haven't been able to find the supposed offending code.

Offending code? Enable ADs and hit refresh 100 times, I guess. What's the point of finding it? It's just the fact that AD agencies will sometimes accept ADs like this. Then said ADs are later determined to be "harmful", even though they say they are "helpful". Putting ADs on a site isn't simple and if you try to make the most profit out of it, things like this will happen. It's no different than occasionally getting an excessively annoying AD that everyone hates. This time it's GoogleBot that hates it.

You clearly have no idea what an ad agency is.

Ad agencies don't have anything to do with placing ads on their clients' websites. Also 'ad' is short for advertisement so no need to cap either letter. Malware in advertisements for profit comes from soliciting shady vendors who sell ad placement which are not ad agencies.

I don't think you're explaining this clearly enough. You say I don't get it, but then I don't understand from your explanation where what I said is different. Are you saying that you directly tell the agency where to get ads from and they aren't giving you a premade collection you filter?

I'm saying you don't go to an advertising agency to choose ads to put on your site. You go to an advertising agency to help advertise YOUR business. Not the other way around. For instance, if you wanted to market ACT, you call an ad agency, they come up with a campaign that would include design, messaging and media placement. The media buyer at the agency then goes out to magazines, tv stations, OTHER web sites, etc. and buys a spot for your ad that they made for you.

No advertising agency is going to design a malware ad to pay to have it put on your site.

What's happening here, is that the VENDOR who is putting ads on this site is subscribed to some shady fuck who is dropping malware into his ads. The guy you pay to put ads on your site is NOT an advertising agency.

Sorry for all the CAPITAL words. I realize it's condescending, but whatever it's friday.
