For DPS situations, would you use the Soulfire Staff (fabled reward of SoD) or the Staff of the Impaler (2h legendary reward of Anaphylaxis quest)?

Considering the stats and proc, the 2h staff looks like it would solidly outparse soulfire/fitz on paper, but I'm wondering what others have found if they've done any parsing/testing of these.

IMO , it sucked before the nerf , it sucks even more now.

Soulfire + Mistress buckler/blood of the brood/fitz( heh better than nothing if you dont have the previous twos) + Preators guard ( or what I listed before if you dont have it). I also wear Novum tectum since I have shit for offhands ( no blood/buckler/guard).

Ive been slacking and not searching for items really so I may forgot about gear that adds more to dps but meh.. suffer my lazyness.

proc on buckler is less than that of the ana staff right?

+ dmg and +crits > soulfire.

Not sure - I havent really looked into it - but at first glace I thought it seemed the new anaphylaxis reward would outparse. Maybe I havent looked at the new "nerfed" version.

Only thing they nerfed really was the 1.8 times per minute to 1.6

I will say soulfire/Praetor's gaurd and Bonedigger Mining Torch ftw ) Lots of +Spell dmg and crits and cast time reduction.

Just get the Staff of Nihilis. +160 spell damage on a one hander and it looks hawt as all hell

I sold my staff I got on day 2 of the expansion for 199p. Still waiting to get another and I might / MIGHT attune that one ;-)
