Raid Gear Combos
I was just wondering what everyone else has seen as propper gear setups for the expansion. Here are examples of what i've seen and they don't include anything heroic or solo.
DPS-straight damage like most people are familiar with spell crits. +spell damage. Possibly throwing in a little power procing gear considering your guilds time in between pulls. i've currently tried to cap my +spell damage at 800 for reasons not yet quanitfied, just my current quick math guess. Still lots to be explored on that subject.
DPS/Power- This is the same setup as the DPS setup except putting on about 6-8 power proccing items with affecting your DPS build as little as possible. I've found this to be ideal for longer trash clearing as well as longer named. My set-up offers me about 3min in a full burn mode or about 25min of chain pulling without having to use xtra power tools such as manastone, honor of pantrilla, power root etc.
DPS/Overflow-This is for fights with an annoying tick on health but no real huge damage output. You can essentially heal while dpsing. Overflow is a damage spell proc that heals.
Healing/Crit/Overloaded Heal- this is for encounters where there is a huge emphasis on group healing. This is great for encounters like The Leviathan. I use around 4 overloaded heal pieces on slots where there is just subpar crit gear. I chose crits over +healing b/c healing effieciency for group heals is superior b/c of the makeup of the two.
Healing/+ heal- this is for the mobs that just sit there and do nothing else than hit like a truck, you can easily tack on an xtra 500hp to a single target heal w/o losing much for crits.
this expansion has really offered a lot of customization between our strong suits. I really still wish we werent canibalizing our heals by chosing between single target and group heals, but deciding on the two just dpens on who is dying...if its your group, use crits, if its the tank use +healing.

Re: Raid Gear Combos
While i respect the time you put in to have (macros?) im guessing to swap out all that gear , im just too lazy to do it. I usually have a Dps macro and a Heal macro... but its definitly the way to do it , you're mazimizing your gear , utility and efficiency(sp?) .. kudos!

Re: Raid Gear Combos
Right now I'm close to the middle, I wear 2 overloaded heal pieces and +300ish heal, +500ish spell damage, and SoL/BCG are the only procs I use. I find myself having to be able to do lots of healing on the fly with all this spike damage and big AE's. It's important I am able to do so, at the same time maintaining high dps when I can as well. I'm also too lazy to constantly swap gear so I just picked a balance of what I need. It's working well for me right now, I'd like to see what others have set themselves up with.

Re: Raid Gear Combos
I have 3 different gear macros set up atm that I use most often. One is pretty much purely for when I solo, I have a macro set up for 5 pieces of raging storm for the quick group cure on fights where that comes in handy, then I have a set that is all about the + to heals, overloaded heal, replenishing heal and the like.
Oh and hiya Moji Remember furies > all

Re: Raid Gear Combos
Ive got 2 set macros atm.
One for pure dps, about 800ish to spell damage and 62% crits. I manually swap power proc items in and out if needed.
The other one is pure healing, as much +heal and heal/power proc off beneficial spells. Also still have 5 EoF set items in there for a 1 sec grp cure .. just because i hate slow casting and really really like fast cast grp cures, i know its retarded! *g*
As said, i manually change gear to adjust to new/different situations, but not as often as in eof tho, there i was changing gear more often.
I also have a solo-gear macro with 5 or so items that procs wards/heals from getting hit, kinda nifty those things :p

Re: Raid Gear Combos
i have 1 for pure dps (spell crits & +dmg), 1 for pure heals (heal crits, +heals, ttr set, replenishing & overloaded heals) & 1 for soloing (crits & +dmg with power procs). if im havin power issues, i just switch in a couple of my power proc pieces &/or ttr set dependin on if we're chain pulling or it's just gonna be a long nukin fight.

those are the two i usually go with. The power procs I have tend to love recently are the Manawell, and tend to have a few pieces on to proc with group heals/infusion.
I picked up the legendary overloaded Heal cloak, and tend to wear that even in DPS mode... until I get something better.
I have to say... the 5 set EOF bonus is ROK'n so far. I actually feel useful! Group noxious/elemental is helpful in both t2 and t3... T3, we dispell the reflect also, woot. I have on encountered about 3 of the names in VP so far, so can nto really comment there.

Re: Raid Gear Combos
3 nice overloaded heal items are the Cloak of the Traitor's Grace, Yha-lei Bone Hoops, and the Shamanic Shoulderpads of Benevolence. I am wearing those atm with my Eof set and the Mayong hat. It would be nice if some of these nice procs were put on our Fabled set gear instead of just on these legendary items. I would like to see some overloaded heals, mana taps and damage procs on either individual pieces or as set bonuses instead of the crappy bonuses we have now.

Re: Raid Gear Combos
The change from laugh-out-loud easiness in EoF to RoK hit me kinda hard. I dropped the majority of my dps related gear in the bank, and I'm currently wearing 4 power items, 3 overloaded heal items, and 2 damage procs. It's absolutely impossible to run out of power and 21% of my heal parse is from the procs. Yay for healing?
I'd love to see an updated item list though. Maybe broken down by type (heal proc, power proc, +dps etc), and source? When things settle down I want my dps back!
