Default Raiding Furies

Hello guys. I'm pretty new to the Fury Scene and now getting into Raiding with my guild. I'm not new to raiding but new on the Leather Healer.

Question is: Do you find yourself using a Shield or a Symbol when raiding?

I wan't for sure if the Shield is still the better option but thought I would ask the general crowd.

Thanks!

To be honest it really depends upon what weapon you are using and what symbols/shields you have. If you are using a one-hander you can use both a shield and a symbol or use 2 symbols. There are some really nice symbols you can get from solo/heroic content in ROK. The symbol from the named mobs in JW is nice, which I believe is called Book Immortalis. Also, Praetors guard is pretty nice for a dps symbol. It's a good idea to have different sets of gear for healing, dps, and power procs. You can set up gear macros and switch your gear out depending on the fight. Bucklers are usually most useful for soloing or for swapping in for TS. You can usually get better stats and procs on symbols, but there are exceptions.

I never wear a buckler unless I have to hit my ae immunity macro which equip one and throw the immunity.. right after the ae is down I hit another macro to equip back on what I had.

So to your question , symbol.

Thanks guys for all of the responces. I will look into getting me another symbol to switch in and out with depending on what we are facing at the time.

I have both, use both, depending on the circumstances. Im not 'blinged out' like many/most of the furies who post here, but what I do have is decent T7 fabled, and a few T8 goodies (so far, as my guild hasn't raided in a long while = no raid officer for the past few months, so been going on pickups). I do have at least 3 full sets of gear on me at all times for switching out for different setups. Gotta have a buckler on hand for Tortoise Shell, though.

I haven't found a second symbol I would replace my current bucker for tbh...when then time comes for that blased armguard of the farseer to drop in CoA, then ill use that with praetors guard and have my bucker macroed in for tshell.

Same here. Once I get Armguard of the Farseer to drop, I'll replace my Direwood and make a macro to equip it for Tortoise Shell.
