dmg gear:
mix of dmg proc/spell crit/mana proc items

spellorder:
taifun - swarm - fae flames (5 pts) - bolt - hibernation - t2 group heal

i fill the little downtime (mostly after swarm) with the druid AA melee styles or thermalshoker or mana items.

Priority for Infusion proc, when asking about max. DPS.

Pact
Fae
Hibernate
Shriek Line

I wouldnt label pact of the cheetah as part of my spell rotation for the same reason i wouldnt put Energy Vortex, brock's thermal shocker, WotBP as part of my spell rotation. It something used as a priority every once in awhile.

If your mages arent trying to utilize your Fae line, its their fault. They get the most use of it out of any class.

The only possible way that rotation can get changed is once you start approachng 100% casting speed reduction, which is something probably only 2 people can claim.

On top of the DPS bonus think of everything else that applies to that spell. A beneficial spell that takes 1 second to cast but counts as a 2 second spell for all proc chances.

Anything you have that procs off beneficial spells wil go off like mad which is just another indirect bonus.

Both you and the other person advocating FF being prioritized in the lineup are assuming that someone has chosen to sink 5 points into it. There is a nontrivial argument to be made that those 5 points are better used elsewhere. I'm not sure why you think FF is a great buff for mages, unless you're assuming that I have summoners with melee pets in my group.

The reason there is an assumption that someone choses Fae Pyre as an AA is because there is no reason someone shouldnt be spec'd for it.

It was an optimal setup with only 100AA, and now with minimal to 0 added raid benefit with 40 extra AA, its literally a no brainer.

Fae Pyre has greatest damage potential when being used by a mage, not a scout. This being b/c it can proc a limited number of times in a duration, 15sec so not matter how fast u attack you wont be getting a higher benefit, and the vast majority of mages will still be getting the full amount of procs possible, as well as it being governed by intelligence, and spell crits. A mage will always parse Fae higher than a scout.

I missed something I think , how would it change? you would use a .75s casting group heal over a 1s fae pyre?

Dont jump on me or anything , im just tired and probably overlook something

I honestly don't see anywhere else those points could be spent. What's the nontrivial use I've missed?

suggestion on infusion proc-fireworks proc it, and have a pretty short casting time. if you can spam shit and everything is down, its a good extra little infusion proc, plus it doesnt cost power.
