Yeah I'm not a big fan of the epic either Amatheon. I'm a fury against the grain, I spec for heals heals heals, not DPS. I realize that most people play this as a hybrid heal/DPS class (more power to them) but it seems SOE forgot that furies are priests and not mages. For a healer that weapon is craptastic, the spell damage does no good, and it only procs on hostile spells. Bleh.

The warden's looks really nice for me. I'd betray but I already have 3 masters for this tier (including Dire Bloodflow), as well as several EoF fury-specific class pieces from raids. A pox upon you, epic devs, for not realizing that furies DO at times heal!

I kind of like the epic,

The extra spell damage is nice. I play as a heal/dps hybrid and have 2 sets of gear that I switch in for both (not resorting to cloth armor). The added spell damage is nice, and remember, you might be able to add a +heal adorn to it, though I haven't tried.

As far as the proc, you hit the mob with a spell, the effect lasts for 10 seconds and during this time, if the mob you are fighting hits its target it procs a decent heal 100 percent of the time for 10 seconds. Does this include AE's? Will it effect multiple mobs when you use Starshower? who knows.

The Warden epic looks rather cool, I think I am a bit jealous. One question I would ask is, if your a fury and you primarily like to heal, why not switch to a warden? they are the king class for straight up healing.

1 000 000/1 000 000 bush harvester FTW!

Regards,

Edit: Keep in mind this is not the epic epic yet, this is the solo/groupable one.

Like I said above, I don't want to betray to warden since I have 3 masters this tier already including the coveted Dire Bloodflow. It would also mean much of the DKP I've spent recently on the Raging Storm set would have been wasted.

You might say to start a new warden...but I'm an altaholic so all of my slots are already full XD

I can be happy not using the epic weapon, I just feel like SOE is ignoring the healing aspect of a fury. I'm not even just talking about pure healers like I am, but the hybrids that make up the majority of the class. There should have been +spell or +heal combined with a proc triggered by the opposite. That would have balanced this epic for the playstyle of most furies. I'm looking forward to seeing if the raid version of the epic is any better, but I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to get it as I'm only in a casual raiding guild.

I can see your point though I have a question,

Isn't that set you mentioned from T7 EoF?

RoK druids got spoiled this expansion with +heals and +healcrits and a ton of legendary gear. I have completely disregarded my EoF set for legendary from the instances and quests for RoK raiding (at least the start of it anyway). The only real thing the EoF might be good for as I can see is power/health and saves though the margin doesn't seem to be that large.

Was just curious =)

I have most of the Kunark legendary stuff but we don't raid Kunark yet. The piece from Raging Storm that I have and view as better than the RoK legendary (for me, at least) is the wrists. I have several pieces with +heal crits and +heal amount. Click here to see my setup, if you're interested. I just got the second piece of Raging Storm that dropped as backup/resist gear and for the collection, I'd eventually like every piece. I've gotten really unlucky and still no Kunark set hat yet /sigh.

I have better bucklers for healing than the Buckler of Blight but for some reason I'm still attached to the Buckler of Blight. It confuses me too

I also have my Soulfire hammer but I swear that thing lags my computer somehow. Also, the stats aren't that great on it, I just keep it around for if I need a +heal boost.

The weapon is ok but not great and i am up to the part that I need to harvest 4 rare roots. personally, i don't think the weapon is worth the 8 or so hours of harvesting it will take to get it so i quit. Maybe they should have said "go kill orcs in CL until you get 4 updates" then make it update every 1000 kills. Harvesting is even more boreing than that and the weak sauce weapon isin't worth it.

1500+ roots harvested and finally got my 4th mantrap. Now I am stuck on 2 of 5 smoldering which are usually easy to get lol.

There are better weapons than the epic for dpsing from single nameds in Sebilis aka Staff of Nihilism. There are weapons with heal procs that are nearly on par with the epic. Why do we want or need +3 slashing on our weapon while I do melee I would get much more use out of +spell or heal crit. The mastercrafted weapons at level 72 have twice the wisdom on them for gods sakes. The epic imho should have same stats but +2 spell and heal crit and 75 to heal and spell mods. Hell the coercer epic has 20 more hitpoints and spell points on it why?. The coercer epic can be done in 4 hours. As it is in its group fabled form I doubt I will even put it in my appearance slot and this is from someone in a guild that is in T1 of Kunark so its not like i have any uber gear.

So where have you guys been harvesting?

I was harvesting bushes, not roots, in KJ around the raptors and apes near outer seb and got all my updates in less than 2 hours.

The bushes give both smoldering material and the roots. There is probably 30+ nodes in close proximity in that area.
