This encounter sucks and is totally based on luck that he doesn't resist your root/snare 5-6x in a row or break root/snare immediately after it landing even with m1 root and maxxed out hinderance aa.

But the karana blessing gives you more than enough power to help make up for the luck factor and takes less than 1 hour to do the 2 quests to get it. Animal formed pet til orinox got to 50%, then used blessing/miracle and burned him and pet down after that since he heals.

This just dawned on me.

Has anyone defeated him pre resist rate change and then had maybe an alt or beat it for a friend post hit rate change?

I'm not implying one was easier or harder simply b/c I wont make an assumtion till I have the data which I simply dont have.

Does anyone have a hit rate parse before the change and maybe someone have it after the change?

I'm simply just curious b/c this is the kinda crap in the game that gets my rocks off.

But seriously if they could make his subjugation resist 0, this would have been a fun and challenging encounter, but as it is now it requires mostly luck.

Yep. Working on killing this jerk now on Crushbone server. He is not fun to solo. Currently, after 1 day of beating on him, its Orinox 38 Chiksar 0. Got him to 48 % once.

I have power proc gear, karana blessings, power root signets of life and replenishment, clockwork guy screwloose bomb bottle of ether etc. Thing is whenever i get into a good grove, the pet resists a root and comes over and stun/stiffles me with elemental and then i die.

It's only been 1 day. Hopefully enough attempts and I will luck out. But this sucks dog balls as i watch the announcement of all the guildies that got their last kills and i just repetitively die and blow money on clicky stuff.

I just killed the pet. It has such a small amount of HP not to mention when he goes to resummon it he is literally sitting there forever doing nothing and you can use that extra time to do anything click or refresh anything or just do some straight damage.

Seemed easy to me doing it with my (crap geared) alt, just respecced root and snare, lot of soulsiphon stuff, rooted and snared both and nuked / kited.

Dropped Ro's Fury at 33%ish to finish him off, but still had enough power left to go the duration without it if I'd needed to.

Might be resistability changes, but was using adept 1 elddar's grasp and had no problems, just needed to kite a bit from time to time.

looking at my parse for the last 40 attempts, when i look at all outgoing - my hit rate is ranging between 64 to 86%. i have maxed hindering, maxed int line for focus disruption damage etc. theres 5 points in root and snare and 5 points in each damage capability in fury tree. All my damage spells are mastered, karana's is mastered, snare is just snare, inferiority and distracting swarm are mastered. and heals are all mastered. heal crit is at 42% and damage crit is at 58%. disruption is at 432 and subjugation is at 428.

If anyone has pre-resist parse, please compare notes.

To be completely honest, it looks like the problem is probably just you. I suggest, if you are trying the same thing over and over again, to completely rethink your tactic. Some people are just not good at certain things.

Furthermore, I was pretty embarassed it took me 5 trys to kill him even w/o status items or playing for 3 months. Simply for your sake I don't think its great to be posting how you've lost to him 117 times.

lol ya i was embarrassed as well, 4th shot half way through RL is like come on you need to get back here now, im like hrmmm fuck, af'ed back to full mana on the pet, and just let loose with energy vortex, saved my emergencies heals.

I'd like to do that encounter again pretty sure i could tear it up.

If you can keep you power up and the mob snared, ther eis no reason you cant kill this guy.
