I bet I could type:
/useabilityonplayer longestnamepossible Cure Elemental
/useabilityonplayer longestnamepossible Cure Elemental
/useabilityonplayer longestnamepossible Cure Elemental

Faster than you can cure 3 people by clicking with less mistakes or chances of errors!

Both. It really depends on the raid or group, although button-pushing does take less time and less mis-clicks IMO

As long as there's queueing it will never matter unless you can't get to your next spell in that .5sec window. I'm a clicker and i guarantee i did more dps than your husband OP.

I dunno, he's pretty wicked.

But thanks, I'm glad I'm not being a complete idiot with my click fetish.

I really think clicking is just as effective as keying as long as your hotbars are setup correctly.

I do both: mouse hotkeys used for all Tank targeting. F1-6 all in group targeting...1-8 keys for essential gear swaps and item use hotkeys. mouse hotkeys for all instant cast emergency heals and svd.

i think its optimal to put anything instant on a hotkey where as if you have to wait well thats just time for you to move your mouse.

Thats probably the heart of it. I've never played a class before where my spells are back up so fast that I need to be instantly clicking stuff; he's specced properly, so his cast and recast are obscenely fast.

Bloody husbands. I should make him play a defiler, that'd teach him.

For certain fights I'll move group cure to 1. Emergencies atm are on 1 and 2, but that was just by chance, but a good idea. Otherwise, I'm a clicker.

Heh, my wife and I are just the opposite of you and your husband Feithen. I play the healer (fury) and she plays an assassin.

For healing I'll do a combination of clicking and pushing buttons. And when I occasionally play her assassin I'll only click. Like widem said its all about the proper hotbar layout. All of her temp buffs are in a row and then she has concealment at the start of one hotbar followed by all her backstabs and then fatal followup. So all you have to do is click right down the row and bam you got 6k+ dps.

i agree with dakkota no matter what you use - prophet ui and clickies only or a combo of buttons and clickies (which i use) you can master either one and it comes down to preference cus you can have a moron playing an inq doing clickies but if he generally sucks at healing well the setup dont matter.

a monk told me that i can heal him faster if i use prophet UI cus he was tanking and his health was dipping faster than our previous group mt which was a brigand - he didnt know that i mostly lazy targeted him so regardless whether i clicked or buttoned, its the same amount of time. when i know that aggro would bounce around, i would just heal or cure through the mob - one cure for all ftw.

i admit that nice one click cure is nice with prophet UI but the casting time is still the same even with the extra step of targeting your group member but to me it doesnt make that much diff they get cured and healed with my button/clicky combo.

im 95% clicky, i only use keys to target tank/ot, f1-f6 for group, knowledge of encounters is the biggest thing for healers imo know whats going to happen before it does and preemptively counter it.
