Hey there.
Not sure if there's been made a topic on this exact issue.
OK.. I'm wondering about Tortoise Shell, Serenity and Infusion in a pure raid perspective.
Thing is, I'm often being told I should spec TS for raiding, but I cannot have all 3 end abilities, tho I would really like to ;) In the past I have denied TS spec due to Serenity being a beast in PvP and Infusion being lots of DPS in raids, but with the "new" AA mirrors there's nothing holding me back from having a TS spec.
At first the arguement was spec'ing TS for survivability, but after having killed all of T7 (except contested EOF and TNT Mayong) and now being upto Nexano in T8 on my fury, I have sort of concluded it is not needed to survive anything yet in this game.
Now the arguement is to maximize DPS and this I think could be true, eventho the buff leaves me with temp 0 DPS ;) I guess with our best raid setup, my guild can dish out 60k+ dps on trash in lets say, Pawbuster zone. I guess it would come out around 50-55k zonewide DPS, and I would probably dish about 2,5k+ of those. On a good day ;)
OK, so if TS should be used to maximize DPS, how would you approach this?
Spec first..
Infusion is about 20% of my zonewide DPS, so I guess it would be foolish to spec out of end INT ability?
Serenity is a lifesaver sometimes, but I guess I am mostly using it to spare Freedom of the Mind pots. Maybe it would be the best to leave out Serenity? Seems a lil obvious to do this, tho this buff is actualy saving my grp at times.
I am guessing the best way to maximize DPS with Tortoise Shell is to: pile on fury in AOE range, do lots of caster DPS, jester on the fury?, then pop TS and counter one AOE, cancel after AOE.. then continue fury DPS, reuse TS if possible b4 next AOE or joust. Rince repeat.
I was wondering if any furies have some experience with using this? I'd really like a little input
Never the less, I am wanting and going to experiement some with this, but I am unsure if I should leave out Serenity or Infusion for a raid spec including TS. I guess the obvious choice is to leave out Serenity if I am wanting to optimize DPS in my mage grp. hehe.
Cheers
Eeling, the PvP/Raid Fury.
