Yeah, you get that heal proc too, so thats less healing you have to do while dpsing. Less heal time = more dps time.

We can't turn our spells into combat arts, so the only combat arts we get are the ones from AAs, and maybe a racial one. I never really had power issues so I never used or advcated animal form b/c it hurt my overall dps. With that being said I was pretty sure that double attacks didnt double proc, such as a double attack on blade chime only hit once, I would assume our proc was the same.

Is this not true?

blah i went down the meelee line. i liked it. if you have farm status on all zones, extra heal crit is being wasted. if your guild is still progressing that heal crit is helpful.

problem was 2 other druids in my guild basically thought the opposite (/wave): there is no dps gain. the meelee line is only for soloing. the heal crit gain outweighed all dps gain.

oh and raid leaders were convinced that w/o the debuffer for Levi, the fight was 3x as long. cause only one other druid showed up that night so only one debuffer (brigs? hello? IDK,IDC).

it was sort of reminicent of explaining that furies can dps AND heal during KOS, and that we should not just respect pure heal but a balance of heal and dps that took some time but here we are today~! lol

as an earlier poster mentioned, if your guild has mythicals and your benifitting from raid wide procs and buffs the 20 or so extra heal crit (someone correct me on the exact amount) is not making or breaking your raid and it is incumbent upon us to keep testing new ways to increase our parses- when I spend at least 75% of my time dpsing and less and less time healing

there are 3 instance zone fights that i buff/gear for healer, and those are slipping away slowly but surely

3 fights...maybe none in a few more weeks

anyways the answer is the classic it goes to your playstyle and where your guild is on progression. if you are struggling through thuugga you might wanna go 100% heal. if your guild is one pulling track, byzola, and maestro you might wanna expand your horizons and flail your arms at the mobs. if you like to stand back and cast then go for it at this point the dps difference depends more on the circumstances the gear and the buffs at that moment but next expansion MEELEE IN 09!

I've never seen Natural Boon or Animal Form proc twice on double attack. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm right

16% with 8 AAs Serene Focus as far as I remember. And it doesn't make a difference to me without it.

I actually find Natural Boon to help with healing chokers. Everyone in my group wears it, the illy, the assassin, myself blablabla. With Natural Boon and hibernate I can usually keep my group's health up there. Only times I still /ggrrr a bit occasionally is when I use Vortex.

They changed it so 100% procs don't proc on a double attack way back during EOF.

Leviathan is the only fight I can think of where Serene Symbol is very useful. It's probably the only raid I've done more often on my Fury than my Conjuror - for the extra symbol and group nox cure.

Fury's get zero mele crit, our auto attack is so gimp double attack has almost no benefit and in fights that actually matter aoe will one shot us if we're too close so im not auto attacking. Combat arts are pretty pointless too, no mele crits...

I try to always keep 100% heal crits, spot healing everyone i can, even outside of group. Unless of course we're fighting trash mobs like in palace, i'll go up and mele to proc chimes and peace of mind ect... the procs do way more damage then our actual physical mele.

Perhaps when i obtain 100% heal crit through gear alone i'll try STR like but i doubt it cuz i'll probably end up putting on more spell crit / mage gear in place of heal crit till i hit 100% in both spell and heal crit..... screw str line its for wardens

I use the str line more for the auto attack heal than anything else, it works well for healing chokers and even jewels if I'm in some kind of OT group.

less time healing = more time nuking.

I also haven't noticed the loss of the heal crit at all.

I agree with Sinapse. I have a mirror spec with with that line but tbo it's more for SS for things like levi. Even in instances I get more benefit from STR than STA but I have decent gear and self buffed w/o STA I'm over 60% HC self and more with chanter in my raid gear. I can get even more with my heal gear on. In all truth I find that to be more than enough to solo heal the mage group even when necro burns. With AA's in single target and group HoT and 2 set bonus I don't even flinch when he burns either and still hitting a 7k+ every time.

Fuck STA who needs 14% heal crit I mean I run around in raid with 89% without having STA that is full DPS gear. No reason not to go STR and it does adds some DPS no its not earth shattering but I proc melee crap in my group I just found it worthless to be down heal crits. I still have some extra heal gear that I will put on to pop me up to 98% heal crits when we are doing a harder mobs. but to be honest I rarely have to switch out gear unless we are working on avatars or the new x4 that came out

Alright so have we decided if going down the STR line was good or bad? Does it help out the dps or just screw with out healing?
