Default TSO AA's

I figured I would start a discussion on TSO aa's so people can discuss what they have found to be most useful so far.

Personally - I dropped the Str line (or Sta line if that is your spec) to start putting points into tso and kept agi/int. I don't have 170 yet , so I still can't get into the fury tree.

I am finding a lot of aoe's completely ignore Tortoise Shell and not just the failure ones. It is still helpful on a number of encounters so it's worth keeping imo.

Priest Line: Litany of Combat (5), Prayer of Healing (5) (to open druid line)

Druid Line: Hierophant Protection (5) (705 hp is helpful right now with lack of crit mit gear), Untamed Winds (5), Elemental Mastery (5), Nature's Storm (5), Wrath of Nature (1)

Fury Line: Hunter's Call (5)(yeah assassin is frothing waiting for this buff), Pact Spirit (5), Natural Restoration (5), Master of Storms (2), Nature's Ferocity (2)

I definately plan to pick up Essence of the Stormcaller as well, but for now going more defensive.

Has anyone tested the added int debuff and found that it makes any difference? Since our debuffs in general are pretty crappy I pretty much had not planned on taking Feeble Minded.

our debuffs r worthless regardless. the wis debuff only became useful when they upped the wis on mobs to make them more resistant. adding int on it, still doesnt make it really worth anything. the skill debuff is only good for ae's for the interrupt.

i have 177 atm. didnt get the hp buff on lucidity because it's null & void for mages that get 1 shot anyway.

im still agi/int/str. still use tshell. havent changed any of my previous playstyle except for always having the mit buff up now because of the big physical ae's.

got the feral boost first, now working on autumn's boost. havent decided if i wanna go return to the pack or dps for the next, probaby pack though.

I went with the Lucidity hp boost for about a week but found it to be useless. The ae's that were splatting folk were splatting by significant amounts and even with 5 points invested it wasn't making a difference. Crit mit gear and not meleeing mobs with physical ae's brought the death rates down, not my shitty buff.

I do have it saved to a spec, along with ALL the healing AA, for when I'm in MT. The boost to group heal and single target hot were really noticable, and I went back to the STA line for crits. In MT, those hitpoints actually did make a difference, as the tank was only dying by a smidge and tanks like huge hitpoint numbers.

It's a nice healing spec but not fun at all for a regular raid setup.

Pratically the same but didnt grab pack spirit in the fury tree maxed out Essence of the stormcaller... ill probably drop hierophants protection and pick up pack at a later time...

Just wanted to ask what you thought about the Master of Storms stance?

I'm currently undecided as to whether or not to get this. I am a raiding fury with a regular spot in the mage group (warlock, ill, troub, wiz, +1 scout). I do tend to err on the side of dps which is why a +10% to base and critical sounds very tempting, however I'm not sure how much the additional casting time to beneficials will hurt my group. Nearly all my group wear the choker (as do I), plus I tend to use hibernate to keep them alive plus fae flames to proc infusion while waiting for my spells to recycle. Also, the improved casting time on hostiles also sounds really nice but if I can't use beneficials to proc infusion, will I just be standing doing nothing for periods while I wait on recast timers?

Any thoughts/observations anyone has on this would be great

first off I have 176 AAs I let go of my EoF crap I still have agi, int and sta with that said this is my set up.

5 in Litany of Combat and Prayer of healing... I don't find the two mit ones to actually be of any use at all.

5 in Elemental mastery, Nature's Storm, Untamed Winds, Harmoney of Grove, and 1 in Wrath of Nature

5 in Hunter's call and Natural Restoration just now starting on Essence of the stormcaller. Got both my heal and Dps stances.

I wanted to make sure that I got the heals I use the most inside a raid Like group heals. I rarely use my single target heals unless I am putting a quick single target Regen on the MT or off tank. I am very much enjoying Our DSP boost. I can pull 6ks on trash in PoA but that was before I got in to the Fury line so cant wait to go back in and see what I can pull on trash.

TS is still the best AOE avoid in game if you drop it your stupid. Bard AoE avoid is soooo easily droped its not even funny. use mana stone it drops cast on a mob who refliects it drops. TS lasts for 30sec and does not drop I still have yet to find a mob in TSO that eats through my aoe avoid.

dps stance is hot, but on most trash the whole group is in the red by the end it adds a good bit of damage but it isn't all that for me...

Yeah haven't gotten to 170+ AAs yet so can't try it out, but on most mobs I'm guessing using none of the stances and having infusion up and using DPS gear would keep both your group alive and net you better DPS than the DPS stance?

DPS stance seems iffy... I've yet to be able to test it, though (except on beta, where it raped, lol).

dps stance is good on trash if you have the right aa set. And another secret is ring of rage.
