Default Sorry...

for the intrusion in your class forum - I play a Dirge but I have a question about a Fury Spell.

The heal that doens't heal immediately, but after 6 seconds or something and is SUPPOSED to trigger automatically if the target drops below 15%~? health....is it bugged or something? A member of my guild pointed this out to me and I wondered if this is a known bug and if it's due to be fixed at any point?

Thanks

hibernate. if u toss it up when somebody's <15%, it wont trigger early, if the fury goes <15%, it wont trigger early. the descript is sorta odd on the aa because it says Adds a component to Hibernation that triggers it early if an ALLY reaches below a health threshold.

so itll ALWAYS go off after 10 secs (unless an ally that was >15% when it was cast goes <15% & doesnt get 1 shot)...unless u have reuse gear that makes the recast lower than the duration & u recast it as SOON as it comes back up, ull be overriding it constantly. the duration is ALWAYS 10 secs, the reuse can be cut down though, which's where u get into this sorta thing.

it's not to be used as a deathsave cause it doesnt work that way, if that's what ur hoping it works like.

have i confused u yet, cause i think i just made my head hurt explaining it.

Hmm a little confused yes.

The person in the guild is my GF and I play next to her. We're on Zarrakon and I was asking her to spam hibernate so whenever one of the AEs hit, her group is autohealed.

I sat there and watched the nox land - at least two people go below 15%, after being at 100%, and yet nothing triggers...

From what you're saying that shouldn't happen?

it's not really an "auto heal." if it's recast before it triggers (which's what reuse gear does), it wont go off. reuse gear fucks that up. u cant just spam it. it's a nice, oh shit thing that lets u get direct heals off a lot of the time, but shouldnt be relied on solely for bringing a group up after an ae.

lil help on the explanation. it's a 10 sec time delay heal. the delay is 10 secs regardless (as long as u dont hit it again before it triggers) unless it triggers early because of the drop (which's been a bit tricky in the way it works since it was introduced in the game). base recast is 10 secs. pop on some reuse gear & the reuse goes down to <10 sec...but....the duration before it triggers is still 10 sec. if u happen to recast it BEFORE the previous cast triggers the heal, u basically have cancelled that previous trigger out. so not a good idea to spam it.

That's if they get that AA. You're better off timing hibernate so that it goes off based on time right after the ae hits, and also to have your group hot going at the same time as the ae hits that way you're already healing it.

One of you Furies still raiding check that duration out with Harmonization. If I'm not mistaken it adjusts it out to an 11 second duration screwing with the timing of it even more.

For a fight like Zarrakon, the best way to do it is to watch your ACT or wait for the call for the 10s warning, then hit hibernate. Of course there is no way for this to be exact, but hopefully itle land shortly after the AE. You can't be bothered to hit untamed right after that AE since you will be group curing nox.

In general you can't rely on hibernate. You can try to time it to go off shortly after an AE for added stability but that is about it. I usually just keep my group hot going and refresh hibernate after it expires, holding untamed open for emergency/large ae spikes. If you keep your gear and aa's in line with the rest of your guild, this should be plenty enough heals to keep everybody green who is jousting and self curing appropriately. However you will find on a few encounters that some of the less geared or swishier mages will find themself one shotted from time to time, which there isn't anything you can do able really. Hopefully this issue is addressed in the future.
