Interesting, I also thought of the heal stance as a positive.. I can see I need to take a closer look at it, especially now i've started on the raid scene.

Grr. I haven't even looked at the heal stance in forever. It does nothing for any type of beneficial cast speed. All it really does is increase the heal amount and the critical amounts. Shame on me for bad info in my previous post.

well its correct that it doesnt affect casting speed, but it the dps stance does make it ridiculous slow imo, and its rare that i'm blessed with TC. so if i'm healing and dont plan on going all out on dps, i choose heal stance even if the tick of my hot is reduced 2secs... it's not a big deal to me b/c i'm not healing a mt group typically, they have the cute wardens for that. i tend to be in dps gear and heal stance and my dps gear puts my heal crit pretty low so i like the added heal percentage.

agreed, i tend to be in Raid TSO gear or PVP gear, and I change only my acceseries/jewerly/charms to add DPS along with my stances.

Cast an INT pot if needed

my dps gear includes my tso 4set usually and 2set from vp which boosts healing as well. also i dont have t4 pants yet, they know i'm waiting for them to drop it seems, so i wear squishy pants with nice spell and crit mit.... and all my jewelry/charms change. it doesn't seem that odd to me. i like my spell crit at 128% if i'm not heavy healing it works perfect for my playstyle and casting habbits.

my heal gear consists of 5set t4 and t3 and completely new set of jewelry/charms.

It just boggles my mind that you would wear dps gear and spell crit to 128% and then gimp your damage by using the heal stance. Sure, if you're in your heal gear and then using heal stance, ok. But dps gear with heal stance?

i just really dislike having my heals take forever to cast in dps stance. so if its a typical group for me i don't spend an hour casting autum's kiss to keep up the squishes who get spike dmg or use the choker. i never said i always run around in heal stance and dps gear, but it does work for me. it doesnt gimp my dps that much. i think doing 4-3k while being the only healer keeping everyone alive is pretty good. but if group is steady w/o me i can do up to 12k dps what i wear is totally circumstantial.
