I saw a thread like this on the Brigand forum that has been helpful, for both nonraid and raiding, so I thought I'd start one here.
Of course, I immediately go blank. :P
Groups/Raids
- Target macros make things go much faster and eliminate having to "find" the MT in the raid if the group setups vary: /Target MT /Target MA /Assist %t or, as Saphira said, map your "previous target" to an easy to reach/remember key.
- Click to heal UIs and the /useabilityonplayer macros are awesome. The macro is set up: /useabilityonplayer Sirdiesalot Feral Potence - case sensitive.
- /pet hide
- rez macro to raid/group/say
- Macro requests for wood and hearts and set them to whatever congy/necro is in the raid on heart/wood duty. Park 'em next to the wood or heart on your hotbar so when you use one up, you can just hit it. Point the Congy/Necros to the raid UI below that can likely be edited to... say... pass out wood.
- Gryffk posted
this one which covers the whole raid and has the text to customize it right there. Click to cure is
here. Only problem with that one is that it clears target.
- Use Fae Pyre, Bestial Feast and Feral Potence - they tend to get overlooked and forgotten. Rearrange your hotbars and put them in places you'll be more likely to hit them, and get into the habit of it. Better to be in the habit of using it, even when it's not seemingly worthwhile, than it is to forget to use it when it'd really benefit.
-Finish every L&L you can get your hands on (Efreeti may be the one exception, for now).
-Repair kits, adornments, Stat potions, Cure potions (ESPECIALLY antistun/stifle, but ward potions especially, along with cures - sometimes they're just faster or someone else in the raid needs one), beholder totems, stat food/drink. See invis totems for DT and other questionable areas (just in case you don't have a mage).
- FINISH your AAs, no matter how useless they seem. Better to respec and move 'em around then have to wait for something you could use.
- get all the goodies you can from the adventure packs - spirit of the bat, healing spell from SP, the vampire damage sheild proc from D'morte (Sacred Shield), idol from FD, etc. Don't underestimate the procs on the vampire jewelry from Somborn.
- get and hotbar: manastone, vessel of fyr'urn, status item clickies (don't overlook city merchants!!) and anything else you can. Don't overlook diety quests and get 'em done (tunare cloak = 30 to healing spells) - use the miracles.
- Save broker searches for wis armor, jewelry, masters, adornments. Keep a list handy so you can check and see what you need at a glance.
- Make it a habit to pass out Feathers immediately before or at zone ins, after rezzes, during afks, or whenever the heck else is crosses your mind - people use 'em, lose them, get moved into different groups, etc.
- Cheetah may come in very handy running back from a long joust out - just make sure you warn people you're about to use it. It also breaks roots - but again, WARN people they're about to hit warp speed.
- on a wipe, when in doubt, get a brawler up first so they can feign (and hope they have a rez token or feather). Even if you have Rebirth. Brawler can FD and stay down if necessary while a plan is worked out (or everyone rezzes and fights back), everyone else will eventually pop up. :P
Soloing:
- At the least, adept III your root. Make sure you get your subjegation up, it makes a difference. Our root is a periodic root - i.e. along with it's % chance to break with damage, it "checks" periodically and has a chance to be resisted. I think ours is every 10 seconds, I could be wrong. (so, this is what happens when you root something, do nothing, and it still breaks).
- Root, Snare, Debuff, then do your thing - make sure snare is always up, it'll give you a chance to reroot if you need to.
-Animal Form is your friend. As others have recommended (Slix, Widem), get a low delay 1h and put a phantom pith adornment on it (power tap). Make sure you have agitate on yourself. Depending on what you're fighting, you can cut down your downtime between fights to nearly none at all.
- in areas where you can AE, stack 'em up for best effect: Ring of Fire, Hibernation, Wild Bloodflow, Call of Storms, heal up, Ring of Fire, Hibernation, WB, Porcupine - let them kill themselves whacking on you.
- Swap out to higher Int/disruption gear or have a set adorned for solo'ing (higher sta/int/damagespell procs). Darkened Leather Chaps = handy. Pants with Int (drop in Nizara, I think - don't quote me). Gloves out of Achedechism with the damage spell increase... Mana Threaded Cloak increases damage spells as well (think it also drops in Ached - I may be wrong).
This hat comes in handy (dueling, too)... Signet of Light from Darkness (drops in OoB) procs nicely, along with Bone Clasped Girdle (which can now be comissioned if you're not a crafter) or
Belt of the Sinister Creation. Fury Wildfire set, Ivy Shrouded Orb of Tunare - lots of gear out there that can help & doesn't require a raid.
-Again, don't neglect the status merchant - if you're out grinding writs, you're earning back your status anyway - buy the damage and charm tokens to get yourself out of a bind or to help with a named.
-Quests from boxes in TT are worthwhile for the extra help with resists fighting a named. I stock up on these like nuts on melee toons, but no reason a fury can't make use of it.
