Default GU-36

Druid
  • Starter - Shapeshift: The nature of the shapeshift is no longer determined by weapon; Instead multiple abilities are added for each illusion type.
  • if you get every effect that is now available thats pretty kewl. no more switching in and out weapons for whatever you need atm.
  • Strength 4 - Natural Boon: Increased trigger percentage from 2% to 4% per rank. Reduced group heal effect by 30%.
  • sacrificing a big heal for more procs is fine imo. this basically just buffs the heal amount by 40% over time.
  • Strength 5 - Primordial Strike: Increased damage, and it cannot be parried, riposted, deflected, or blocked.
  • its a warden thing
  • Agility 4 - Wild Regeneration: Additionally increases the initial tick of each regeneration by 3%.
  • from how this is worded im going to make an assumtion from just knowing how to read. This 24% extra heal only works on the first tick and the rest are the same. well this is an improvement only b/c the previous AA was a hinderance. Since furies dont have reactives we use them to get ready for an AE. Previously the AA ability would cut the duration down to faster ticks which was detrimental for the amount of timing error u have for protecting your group in this way. This new change basically gives you that time back and gives u a small boost to the first heal which many times you group is at full hp when u use it neways.
  • Agility 5 - Tortoise Shell: Stifles/Roots Druid instead of stuns, and doubles shield effectiveness. Also increases health regeneration of nearby allies. Removed power cost.
  • meh...so you can melee while its up...this is a warden thing again...power schmower...regen component is really a waste b/c i dont have this up for any more than 4-5 sec at a time.
  • Stamina 3 - Serene Knowledge: Increased triggered percentage from 1% to 2% per rank. Added interrupt immunity.
  • not a bad upgrade pretty straightforward...this is a pvp balance
  • Stamina 5 - Serenity: Removed power cost. Added interrupt immunity.
  • pretty much the same...this is a pvp balance
  • Wisdom 4 - Hierophant Obfuscation: Instead of hate reduction, it reduces the chance that any hostile spell lands on the Hierophant by 1.5% per rank.
  • im guessing this is a 12%chance to avoid AE buff, but it wreaks of pvp again
  • Wisdom 5 - Rebirth: After death, the buff can be cancelled before the auto-resurrection occurs if desired.
  • lol, still completely pointless
  • Intelligence 4 - Stormvision: Also increases ordination skill.
  • why?
  • Intelligence 5 - Infusion: Slightly increased damage.
  • id like to see how much, but at any rate its an increase.
I really dont feel like leveling up a toon on test to see the exacts so if there is a fury that had their character copied to test pvp in order to do raid content if you can post SS that would be awesome.

Someone mentioned in the fury channel lastnight that the Infusion upgrade was around 400 dmg, which is amazing.

wowzers. That is nice!

On that note, does anyone know if the natural boon heal triggers infusion? Is natural boon considered a proc or spell?

I am not even sure if the heal proc group earring procs infusion?

I am loving the starter AA, that is crazy if we get all three and dont ahve to switch weapons in and out. I am just wondering if the specific one is up only when you are holding a specific weapon, or are they totally doing away with weapon requriements for everything?

For example, do we need a sword for Primordial strike... or can we use any weapon now? Sounds like we can.

its a proc so it will not proc infusion...but if it does automatically switch to whatever weapon you weilding that would majorly suck...that would bring the mallet of the seer back to the best dps weapon b/c of the spell crits that go with the current shapeshift hammer bonus...i think ill just suck it up and lvl a fury on test tonight after raids.

I guess after I have read the wording over a few times... it does say multiple abilities are added for each illusion type. I guess what confuses me, they will still need to do a weapon type check to see what illusion is up... which is where i question it to begin with. Overall the devs said that specific weapon trees are going away except for ranged and shields.

I will definately be curious to see what you find out Widem.

I agree awsome change. You get 3 shapechange spells in your book when you get this AA just pick what you want and cast it.

  • Strength 4 - Natural Boon: Increased trigger percentage from 2% to 4% per rank. Reduced group heal effect by 30%.
  • sacrificing a big heal for more procs is fine imo. this basically just buffs the heal amount by 40% over time.
Same...more of a melee warden AA imo since 90% of the furys dont touch this tree.

  • Strength 5 - Primordial Strike: Increased damage, and it cannot be parried, riposted, deflected, or blocked.
  • its a warden thing
Agree
  • Agility 4 - Wild Regeneration: Additionally increases the initial tick of each regeneration by 3%.

AA reads Increase the primary tick on primary single and group regen by 3% and reduce duration of the regen by 0.25s per rank. I have pointed out before how pointless and little the duration reduction does in the "Great AA Debate Thread" but if you want to min/max a pure heal spec....its not bad.
Yep 1 MAJOR thing....it roots your group too. Increase in comabt regen by 50 and out of combat by 59, increases sheild effectivness of group by 100%. May good for a MT warden mabye.
  • Stamina 3 - Serene Knowledge: Increased triggered percentage from 1% to 2% per rank. Added interrupt immunity.
  • not a bad upgrade pretty straightforward...this is a pvp balance
Agree
  • Stamina 5 - Serenity: Removed power cost. Added interrupt immunity.

Yep
  • Wisdom 4 - Hierophant Obfuscation: Instead of hate reduction, it reduces the chance that any hostile spell lands on the Hierophant by 1.5% per rank.
  • im guessing this is a 12%chance to avoid AE buff, but it wreaks of pvp again
This is a 100 times better then what it was...hate gain wtf...garbage...this is a 12% chance to avoid any incoming spell dmg or hostile effects.... pretty tempting but to far down a pointless tree.
  • Wisdom 5 - Rebirth: After death, the buff can be cancelled before the auto-resurrection occurs if desired.
  • lol, still completely pointless
Well its not pointless at least now you can avoid a double death...why they cannot make it a confirm box instead is beyond me...it would make it 100 times better.
  • Intelligence 4 - Stormvision: Also increases ordination skill.
  • why?
I agree this is retarded like I am so worried about fizzling my buff spells omg.
  • Intelligence 5 - Infusion: Slightly increased damage.
  • id like to see how much, but at any rate its an increase.
The Base damage on this spell in test reads 197-295 magic dmg

Bonus Changes...Serene Symbol, Hierophant Grasp, Thunder Spike, Nature Blade can all be used now without weapon restrictions....so before you needed a staff, a hammer and a sword, symbol...now you can just cast them with no need to change to a specific weapon

When I said that T. Shell roots the group...its not a bug....the Group root is in the AA description. The effect radius for the root and aoe immune is 3meters.

i fail to see how that would make tort shell any better. For how i use it, nothing changed.

Interrupt immunity is nice for soloing and pvp i guess.

anyone know if they changed the duration for Serene Knowledge when it procs? or still at 2sec?
