Re: RoK EPIC WEAPONS
Another effect I like alot is the brigands tenure endline AA. The damage and extended time of everything. Maybe have it as a clicky, lasting for a while... or a proc that lasts for a while for a certain %. It would touch every skill we had, potions, status items, etc.
Widem mentioned what type of skill would make us more valuble, or useful for a raid. Maybe have a huge debuff proc, that actually would make a noticable effect when it lands on the mob... aka, again brigand... similiar to the huge effect dispatch has. What could that debuff be, i dont know, but I know the fury is serious lacking in debuffs.

Re: RoK EPIC WEAPONS
Scimitar ALL THE WAY. We're druids and the signature weapon for druids is a scimitar. We haven't had any epic questline for a druid oriented sword.
I also agree with a raid-wide oriented effect and like the stance based effect. I would like it to be a clicky effect vs a proc. Raid-wide short term dps enhancement if in wolf form, raid-wide heal if in treant form and raid-wide cure (nox/elemental) if in the last form.

1HD Slashing
150-500 Damage
1.5s delay
(If any of these effect trigger the animation will be raising the weapon in the air then the lv 45 fluff spell call storm goes off, its the black cloud and then lightning chain casts down to the player)
If Target is Winterwolf:
On sucessful hostile spell this effect will trigger 1.8time per minute.
Cast Stormcaller's Fury this effect will last for 10s, all hostile spells are reduced to 1mana cost and casting speed increased by 50%
If Target is Treeshape:
On Sucessful benifical spell: ------ no idea yet
If Target is Tiger Form:
On sucessful melee attack this effect will trigger 2.0 times per minute
(Lame Spell name here) will increase the DPS and Attack Speed of group by 85 for 10s
(Basically a group agitate buff that the fury has to proc)
Without feedback from the Dev's its hard to say if this will be balanced for what they want to do or not.

yes i really like the idea of adding onto our aa line very kool!
now what if u made the heal one something like for 10 seconds all your heals crit?
and yes it needs to be a scimitar!

Re: RoK EPIC WEAPONS
delay should either be quite high (loosing less autoattacks when casting spells ~4 secs) or really low (for the use of animal form <1.2sec)
the effect being tied to the aa "stances" is a great idea

Re: RoK EPIC WEAPONS
Well Widem its already confirmed that epics will be done in a Swords of Destiny nature where doing the quest starts with low teir weapons and develops to higher quality ones as you work towards epic events.
Well lets see Raid Desirable healer/dps based effects....hmmm Thats a tough one.
Well looking at our spells the only ones that come to mind are engery vortex and agitate..the mages would love that and scouts always fight over agitate.
Well lets see....we wont get a massive debuff because its not our class thing just look what we get for debuffs now....if we do it would be to nox and elemtal effects (pos/dis/heat/cold) and should be alot like 3000 points. (As in EQ1 epic 2.0)
A group deaggro would be desirable in high dps grps with no troub, my group agitate proc would be nice for raid utility, so would a pbaoe regen.
I will send some PM's and see if I can get an idea of what scope of effects they have in mind but keep the juices flowing here,

Re: RoK EPIC WEAPONS
I like your ideas of tying into shapeshifting forms, Slix. Very original imo.
As for how the thing looks, it absolutely has to be a scimitar. I think it would be awesome if it had lightning partical effects, while wardens can have the old leafblower.
If ours was based on our shapeshift, I imagine the warden one would be as well. So I think, perhaps, the warden one should be the one offering defensive (per se) buffs, while ours would be offensive.
These are just off the top of my head examples, but for Treant form
Furies: Every time the Fury casts a heal, has a x% chance to do some amount of damage to some mob somewhere (lol, make it pb ae, or implied target, whatever)
Wardens: Increase base heal amount by 15%; or when the warden casts a heal spell, has a x% chance to increase the amount of the group's heal spells by 15% for 10 seconds.
or Winter Wolf form
Furies: Increase base damage amount of all spells by 15%, or one of the +damage for the group buffs you mentioned.
Wardens: Wardens could get the power cost reduction buff you mentioned
Tiger
Furies: I really like your idea of a group agitate proc, actually. I couldn't think of anything better than that right now, except maybe double attack instead of haste. Or MAYBE!! A CoB-like proc for 10 seconds; that would be pretty awesome
Wardens: On a successful melee attack, has a x% chance to cast protection of nature on the group; increases defense of group members by a lot and has 1 trigger of stoneskin (defense drops when stoneskin trigger is used)

Re: RoK EPIC WEAPONS
I kind of wonder if it would be possible to have the best of both worlds on the weapon.
Perhaps "when target casts any spell, this spell has a x% chance to cast pact of karana/nature/poop. The next damage or heal spell cast by the fury will be increased in potency by 100%"
Or shit, I just thought of this. What if it applies a buff for some amount of time that increases spell and heal crits by 50% or so.

i was thinking of something kinda along these lines such as
xxx times a minute on hostile spell...procs some offensive buff
xxx times a minute on beneficial spell...procs some defensive or beneficial spell at that point you would just have to come up with the proc and not necessarily have to code something specifically for a "stance"
im still all for the defensive one being a group power proc,
but for an offensive one im thinking a straight group damage proc lasting for xxx duration doing xxx damage on every succesul melee/spell hit whether it be auto-attack CA or spell cast.
even if it was 1.8x a minute for 15sec it would basically be a PoTM for every class in your group damage could be scaled depending on how powerful other epics are.
just another idea....
