i am using the windrazor for animal form atm and have been wondering what adornment to use...
the +5 slashing or the meele power proc one?

what do you guys think?

Went essencia myself , longer delay but with agitate (caster grp ftl) and animal form haste the delay goes down without hitting the cap + an adornment and animal form makes 3 power proc on 1 weapon... I get gaps of 4-7% power sometimes when everything procs its pretty sweet.

Oh and yeah power proc > 5 slashing.

i will go with the power proc than and try out the essencia thing

the last run we did thru Deathtoll I picked up a velium shortsword. I use that with a power proc, I can go from almost no power to full in the course of a fight and at the end i switch out to a different weapon. And on some Named fights I can do it twice Unless My necro Decided to Lifeburn Right when I say Stunned to Get power for heals.

You CAN see the power proc from the augment in logs.

It wont show as X effect gives Y Player Z amount of Mana

It will show as an emote cast, not sure of the channel type but its default in default UI is a darkblue txt and will say something like

"You feel a serge of crappy proc replenishing you power."

i was in one of those multi-million hitpoint named fight, and we were fighting it with 3 groups, so our dps was limping a bit and the fight took awhile.... I went through 5 bars of mana... burn burn burn > OOM > Animal Form > full mana > burn burn burn. . .

I use 1h Ancient Velium hammer from DT specifically for animal form, per advice on this board, and it's proven to be hugely useful on some fights.

Yeah Ancient Velium DT weapons are great for 2 reason,

Cheap (usually always some on any broker for only a few plat)
Fast (I got the shortsword cause of 1.4s delay which is nice)

Any fast item is good, lower the delay the better, we dont need these for dps we just want to hit really fast for more mana.

my only question is this. If I hit for say 134 slashing and then have the tiger bite on top of that for 325, How much power do i get back? I have beeing trying to figgure this out.

100 mana per sucessful melee attack, so the 125 hit will give you 100 mana, the 325 hit is a proc and gives no mana.

Also the AA gives you 100 haste. This is why 1.4 or less 1HD weapons are best for mana purposes.
