Default RoK spell upgrades

Which fury spells won't be receiving an upgrade in RoK? I've read semi-conflicting reports about Ancient Teaching / class specific spells and was hoping someone had a better idea than I do.

Back into the Fray?
Hibernation?

These are some of my favorite spells, so I'm crossing my fingers they get upgraded.

Thanks,
-Migi

Devs have mentioned that ancient teaching spells with a set value will be getting upgraded.

Not 100% certain on that though since devs have changed their mind before.

They also mentioned that some percentage based spells and other spells such as CoH will not see an upgrade since they scale no matter what level you are at.

The lvl 35 bloodline spells are also getting an upgraded in a future GU. (before expansion release)

There was also mention of how they are changing the 14 level interval rule on spells to a 10 level interval.

This would mean that all our spells will see an upgrade come expansion. (except any spells that don't need to be upgraded. Group cure and cheetah come to mind.)

Makes it super easy on the Devs to balance the game.

Yep you are correct, now i am not sure if back into the fray and hibernation scale or not. I think fray does and hib doesnt but i dont have a lower lvl alt to check on, mabye when I am back home I will do a /who all and ask around.

Yep spell consolidation is coming, no one knows for sure what is going to be done. They did say any consolidated spells (taking 2 spells making them into 1 spell) will not be a nerf of either spell effect. But it is uncertain beyond that....will they take Spirit, Hunt, and make them 1 buff using 2 con slots? will it be 1 con for the join buff or no con slots? No one knows till we see an update note or see them in a beta /test enviroment.

I remeber hearing all the single target cures wil be merged to 1 spell that covers all the effects. Which would be nice with their current cast/recast its dumb to use 4 buttons when 1 will do.

We will get a new spell for lv80 lets hope its not a retarded AoE ah la Call of Storms.

For now we are in the dark till more info gets leaked, all in all I think it will be a good change for us.

I bet the spell is some retarded bullshit that stuns the fury throughout its duration. And all the other classes will bitch about how overpowered it is, when in actuality, no Fury will even have it hotkeyed.

As much as I respected Locke and I personally think he did a good job with the pile of shit he was handed, I hope the new guy goes back and changes Call of Shit and Urshit. Wooo we might get an Urchin upgrade on level 80!! I was fucking worried, let me tell you...

Yeah I agree, now i dont expect a complete revamp of all spells but I want to at least see a step in the right direction for spells.

Kunark is starting to feel like DoF all over again...lets pray it goes well...or hello Warhammer here I come.

When I was in the forum at FF with Locke and the other Devs we asked alot of questions about spell upgrades and whatnot. The did mention the consolodation of buffs however they hadnt thought about changing concentration, we asked and they were not sure if they were going to reduce the amount of conc. the one spell would be if it was both buffs. As for Ancient Teachings, they did say that ALL spells were getting upgraded and ALL spells will now be on a 10 level basis and not a 14 level. The only spells, like previously mentioned, that will not get upgrades are the ones that scale already or dont matter what tier they are because they cast a certain effect ie... COTH, any % based spell, any X number of times spell (Stoneskins) etc... Any heal spells or damage spells that have a number attached to them that are somewhat level specific will be upgraded, how much help would Back Into the Fray be when your tank has 20k HP and it heals for 1k and your single target small heal heals for more.

On a good note, we did bring up group/raid, hearts/shards and they /pondered the idea!

well they better not take 3 con buffs link them together and then make the new spell 3 con to cast....i would be so pissed because then im forced to have certain setups.

Back into the Fray should be 2K heal over 50% and 3.5K under 50% imo, Hibernation should be a 3-4K Heal and Urchin needs to be changed to raidwide buff with no stun componet imo.

Id like to see Fae Flames turned into a group maintained melee proc with a high % like 25% and call of storms needs to ditch the whole "Chance to Hit" its BS and doesnt do jack for damage as a raider.

Generally I would love to see regens get a boost in duration...they are the ONLY heal type that tics away to nothing and can expire adding longer durations would at least allow them to cover more time and possible incoming damage, at least wards and reactive store their unused triggers for the whole duration and can cover damage later on rather then loosing strength over time.

I dunno with locke gone I really want to see all classes get some spell lovin including furys.
