    Default XML subscription import question

    EDIT: Really didnt mean snippet import, meant subscriptions.

    Is it possible to have other data than triggers in there? specifically spelltimers?

    Thanks

    For the most part, it can be anything that ACT saves as settings.

    Weird if i add in a section w spelltimers i get an xml error on import... wonder what im missing
    im copying the spelltimer data from my own act config file into the import file, along with a spelltimer tag start and end xml...

    as in

    Code:
     <SpellTimers>
            <Spell Checked="True" Name="caustic51" Timer="51" OnlyMasterTicks="False" Restrict="False" Absolute="True" StartWav="" WarningWav="tts caustic" WarningValue="1" RadialDisplay="False" Modable="False" Tooltip="1 minute timer" FillColor="-16776961" Panel1="False" Panel2="False" RemoveValue="0" Category=" Item Timers" RestrictCategory="False" />
    </SpellTimers>
    Dont mind the thing itself, just an example.

    XML subscriptions are full and complete ACT config files. You're missing the root Config element.

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <Config>
    	<SpellTimers>
    		<Spell Checked="True" Name="Spell" Timer="30" Restrict="False" Absolute="False" WarningValue="10" RadialDisplay="True" Modable="True" Tooltip="" FillColor="-16776961" Panel1="True" Panel2="False" RemoveValue="-15" Category=" General" RestrictCategory="False" />
    	</SpellTimers>
    </Config>
    I might wish to point you to the XML Share Server plugin. Its purpose is to create XML subscription files manually(file/ftp) or dynamically using ACT's web interface.

    OHHH so much love for that plugin!!!

    Any chance of being able to do the same to triggers as i can to timers - ie. select by category? that would just be golden!!

    Hmm, I think I had it the way it was because Spell Timers used to be large in number and Custom Triggers were small in number. So Spell Timers were added by category then filtered by the 'noexport' tag... then Custom Triggers were individually selected.

    You should only have to do the configuration once and it will save between sessions. The list only gets new entries when you refresh the list and those new entries will be checked marked. Unchecked items will be remembered as such. It should only be a bother to set up the first time. Then incremental as you wish to add things.
