Default Pasting parse from clipboard sharer

I am running ACT on a different pc from eq2, i have managed to set it up so ACT is working ok, I have activated ACT clipboard sharer and that seems to be ok as well. Is there a command or macro i can use in game to paste the parse ?

The Windows paste shortcut, CTRL-V?

If you're using the /do_file_commands export, you don't even need the clipboard sharer.

I really need to write up a list of rules someplace that states don't just say a subject and ask what's wrong. *sigh*

On to the wonderful challenge of mind reading and exhausting random possibilities...

Did you add a macro export profile by pressing the Add button in the EQ2 Integration export options, Export to EQ2 Macro File section?

Did you share only the EQ2 logs folder for ACT to read or the EQ2 base folder? ACT needs to be able to go up the folder structure to find the EQ2 folder to create the file in. Is that network share writeable?

Does the act-export.txt (or whatever you may have changed it to) exist in EQ2's folder after an automatic or manual export? If so, what does the file contain?

And if you feel even a little bit sorry for me, respond in more than just a terse sentence that barely says anything.

My apologies EQAditu. I have the same thing in the EQ2 integrated export options as i had when I was using ACT on the same machine as EQ2 (act-export.txt "default" ). I have shared the EQ2 base folder ( I presume I should have this set on writable, i will have to check this when i get home) in what EQ2 folder/sub folder should i be looking for the act-export.txt file ?

Im sorry if my questions seem vague or simple, but not all of us "silver surfers" are as computer literate as you, I have only just set up my home network and have little idea of things relating to file sharing etc.

I will endeavour in future to give as much detail as possable when I ask a question.

You help is greatly appreciated.

It's not that you have to know what to look for ahead of time before asking a question as much as it'd be nice to know what you have done and personally tried to get to this point. You don't need me suggesting things you have already tried and otherwise I have to split my advice along multiple paths which feels tedious.

The export files should always be in the folder with EverQuest2.exe. That's the default path EQ2 looks for when just given a file name. If ACT encounters a noticeable error it will silently put it into the error log. You can find that log by clicking the App Data link in the About tab. Though most of it will be uninteresting to you... searching for act-export.txt in the error log might narrow it down.
