Thread: ACT on a second PC?

I cannot find any useful information so this might be an easy question.

How do I run ACT from a second PC? I tried Filesharing and just chose the combatlog from the other PC. That works to a certain level but sometimes I get error messages instead of the graphs, so I wonder if there might be a smarter way to do it.

Honestly, that's the intended usage. Or at least that's how I use it. There should be zero limitations to using ACT on a separate computer.

You might have to be more specific about the problems that you're having.

I'm not very literate in this area. How do I fileshare to another computer? I have a desktop and a laptop and would like my laptop to run ACT as I like to play fullscreen on my desktop.

If you log in as an admin on both computers, and both have the same password, you can just use the "hidden" default admin shares.

If your main PC's IP is for instance 192.168.0.1... to access your C drive would be the address:
\\192.168.0.1\C$\

You should try it with Explorer first, but you can type it into ACT's open log dialog as well and browse from there.


If you can't manage using that, doing it manually depends on which OS you're using.

Where is this located in ACT?

Options tab... type "open log" in the search field.
