Default Cure Consolidation Concern

Something I just thought of when cures were mentioned. How many levels of curing will the new 1 button cure, cure? THIS IS IMPORTANT! Reason I ask is what if tank has a noxious debuff on him that is horribly detrimental. Say he gets hit with 3 or 4 more debuffs. Which cure gets removed first? And what determines that?

With seperate cures, you could ignore some debuffs from some mobs because you learned which mobs did what type of debuff so you only had to watch for that debuff and you knew everything else was a waste of time to cure. So what determines what cures what now? And if all my cures being put into 1 button I say it be able to cure up to 150 at 70 and 170 at 80. That way you can get 2 debuffs single target since you no longer have a choice of not cureing a worthless debuff as opposed to the more dangerous one of a diffrent type.

This I would like an answer to because of the implications to both PVE and PVP servers. PVP especially with the slow ass recast in pvp combat. PVE mostly because sometimes not curing something is a strat. Granted its situational but as a healer making sure my group is completly cured all the time can be rough at some times. I don't want to be in TNT and have the tank getting hit with trauma debuffs and that lousy stun but since the stun keeps getting refreshed I can never actually cure the trauma.

Thats my concern with consildated cure spells. If you just mesh em together your gonna have a bunch of frustrated healers.

It would result in MORE cure spamming, as you'd have to ensure that all debuffs are removed so that you can ensure the removal of the nasty ones.

If the "Cure All" works like Tranqulity, it will cure 1 of each, Piercing, Slashing, Crushing, Heat, Cold, Poison, Disease, Magic, Divine, and Mental. Therefore there is no problem with curing debuffs in the same amount as before. Levels do not matter if you have a Heat and a Cold debuff on you right now and cast Cure Elemental, it will cure both.

This is one of the many concerns I have with Spell Consolidation, IF they consolidate cures. I am eagerly awaiting to see what happens, if it happens.

Yeah it seems pretty stupid to do it this way. Even easier to just macro using the G15 and watch a movie while raiding.

Are they going to increase the power cost now, with the giant cure-all? What happens to spamming trauma cures in certain situations, if the power cost is now double?

There would definitely need to be some adjustment to Tranquility if this kind of a change goes in. The thing that worries me is that if all cures are the same and multiple effects are on the person, I have no way of curing the one effect that really needs to be cured ASAP - like a Mayong's Touch. It could be in the middle of 5 effects on the tank and you're fucked.
