I personally like how quickly the "we pay the same amount" bit came up. It took a whole 8 posts before someone used that "argument".

Damn all the "leading players" that pay the same amount as casuals!

The OP of that thread in question has no idea what he's talking about. Devs in all the popular games have always maintained personal blogs and a few of the big names even had their own websites.

Sounds like he's new to the Internet.. not just gaming. ^^

My summary of the complaints in that thread:

"You might raid, but you're not better then me! You don't know anything about my casual style of play. Now, can someone tell me how to spec my AAs so I can do more damage? What weapons are best for me? Where should I solo?"

While that thread had the potential to degenerate, I think it turned out pretty good, and honestly, I wouldn't be suprised if it didn't cause a few more people to visit this site rather than be turned off from it.

QFT

I just couldn't bring myself to post. The rhetoric of casual vs hard core is too fuckin old for me. The funny thing was it was the casual croud doing all the bashing. Thank fuckin god the devs look where people actually have a clue.

i agree im glad the devs dont only post on the official forums for input. if you read through what the feelings of everyone in the thread sticking up for the dev's actions were, you pretty much sum up my response. i didnt reply because it would just be me quoting a bunch of stuff and endorsing it. no need to put out a response in a can, the point has been made. with that said, i do browse the official forums from time to time now. i find that the in testing feedback forum is on a bit higher of a level than most of the rest of the forums, since at least the people posting there are making a point to find issues that need fixing in the first place. i spent 4 hours browsing it (longer than i have ever spent anywhere else there before going nuts) and i am happy that i did. with that said, i doubt i will be going to the official froums to post there anytime soon, but keep up the good work. its threads like that which can help show the other players that we do in fact care about the game outside raiding.

i spend 90% of my in game time soloing. why? because before lu 13 there was no point doing anything BUT solo, you could solo anything up to and including green epics with the right stuff/tactics. and at the time drop rates on trash were much lower, i couldnt get a livable income to play my characters on any other way. so i know exactly how it is to play with less than adequate gear, i did some of that soloing of yellow and orange ^^^ heroics with treasured gear and a mishmash of ap4 and ad1/3 spells just like the rest of you could have done at the time. so i respect totally the fact that some of you may want different changes to go in than the raiders. half the time a big change comes to the table i cant decide whether to like it or not. on the one hand it makes my solo game a lot more enjoyable, while on the other hand it may make groups and raids suck or not as enjoyable anymore.

with that said, keep up the good work guys. the thread has managed to stay civil and it obviously has moderator/dev attention because it got moved once already.
