This is why officer assigned loot sucks and believe me I've been in a guild that did it. It's because every item in the game would be better suited to another class besides a Bard. Melee shit benefits rogues/predators more and caster shit benefits mages more. There are no T7 bard-centric items in the game at all. Bards are the only classes that have to compete against mage AND scouts to fully optimize their gear.

Here's the thing you are probably too dumb to realize. If you keep insulting your Bards about loot and don't keep them happy they're just going to tell you to go fuck yourself and then your guild will be fucked. I'm not a guild leader, but I'm pretty sure keeping the Bards logging in would be a high priority of mine considering almost every guild is recruiting them.

I think that sums up Bards and Loot and why your question was dumb.

It's your DKP. You earned it, spend it how you want to. If you want to be a "nice guy" and let someone get a drop "they could use more" even though you have more DKP, then that's your choice.

Dirge deserves the item. He had more DKP at the time it dropped.

Maybe I have no clue, but I'm sure if a DKP guild kills a mob that drops a mythical itme, it would go to the person with the most DKP almost everytime.

If the leaders applied the rules just as they do every other time (whatever those rules may be) and the dirge won, then that should be final. When you join a guild you accept those rules; if they were followed then there is nothing to bitch about, and your guildmates should just STFU.

Same difference considering the shit rogues in your guild do about the same dps as a good bard which I am going to assume Chimpio is since he can play any class and be one of the best.

Who gives a shit tbh. If the general consesus says yes the bard should have gotten it is the butt hurt rouges gonna stop bitching? No. If the consensus says the rogue should have gotten it screw the bard, are you going to petition a GM and tell them you assisnged the loot the the wrong charecter? No.

This is something you should have put on your own guild's website to see how your guild's members feel about it. They the ones that gotta deal with it.
