Yes it should have. He deserved it because he had more dkp or attendance built up.

Not sure if you are aware of it or not, but the +spell damage items are kind of pointless for a troubador because of their casting times being so short and the current game mechanics dealing with + XXX items.

Considering +dmg modifiers are poop anyway there's no point in the frigging arguement in the 1st place.
As a dirge I would prefer a +disease dmg proc over a +mental dmg proc, and a troubadour vice versa - THAT and because those 2 items are still viable raiding items is why I made the post.

I'm confused, how are those 2 items not good for a dirge? Let us consider this, overall a raid mob gets the same debuffs basically for disease and mental, thus it doesn't matter what type of damage proc you have because they'll still be sufficiently debuffed anyway.

Re: Clear Cutter Machete goes to a dirge
Prick. Going to argue for the sake of arguing are you? What would you prefer, a spell of a dmg type you can debuff or a spell of a dmg type you can't? If you can debuff it, you don't have to rely on others to do so. Also, on the offchange that you're not raiding, the dmg type can still be debuffed.
The items are BETTER for Troubs than for Dirges. I never said they weren't good for dirges. Considering the 2 magical dmg types that bards debuff, there are only 2 T7 jewelrey items that give bard based dmg, both are mental - therefore I stand by what I said.

Umm, does it matter? It's a proc, who cares what damage type it does.

So by your logic a melee weapon will be better off in the hands of a class that debuff mitigation and/or defence?
You know...so you dont have to rely on others doing so?
No?
From a min/max point of view, the items in question will be better off on who ever gets it to proc more...

Should have the guild leaders and officers suspended bidding privileges in favor of the swashes / brig since those 2 predator classes can benefit from the dps increase granted by the Machete much more than the dirge can or not?

Read the fucking thread, asshole. The OP is neither the dirge, nor the swashy, nor a brig. FFS man, keep your oblivious drivel to yourself you mental midget.
Fixed a typo...

Re: Clear Cutter Machete goes to a dirge
Not that it wasn't a difficult question to answer on page 1 of this thread, but the DW changes make this thread even less relevant. The chosen DKP system appears to be working as intended. If it isn't, change the policy, but don't bitch when the system works.
Oh yeah, Kall's bard post quoted on page 2 of this thread ftw.

Re: Clear Cutter Machete goes to a dirge
You can't say it better than Kall did in the thread about a Dirge winning a Robe of Al'Kabor:
---
Fuck you. You know why 99% of the bards in game don't give 2 fucks about their DPS and are afk half the time reading the forums or doing other shit? It's because of retarded fucks like yourself who don't think they should get any loot.
This is why officer assigned loot sucks and believe me I've been in a guild that did it. It's because every item in the game would be better suited to another class besides a Bard. Melee shit benefits rogues/predators more and caster shit benefits mages more. There are no T7 bard-centric items in the game at all. Bards are the only classes that have to compete against mage AND scouts to fully optimize their gear.
Here's the thing you are probably too dumb to realize. If you keep insulting your Bards about loot and don't keep them happy they're just going to tell you to go fuck yourself and then your guild will be fucked. I'm not a guild leader, but I'm pretty sure keeping the Bards logging in would be a high priority of mine considering almost every guild is recruiting them.
