just to clarify here, the OP is -not- complaining about the machete... he's a fury... he's just an observer of the issue and wanted outside opinion

i happened to be one of the brigands on that raid, and i'm fine with where the item went (and i voted as such in the poll btw). there is no butthurting here.

when you sign up for a DKP system you better know, and accept, what comes with it. raid enough and everyone will get loot in the end. min/maxing this shit and complaining about it gets you nowhere.

there are some obvious "why the FUCK did you take that item" situations, but this isn't one of them

what do bards do? well they enhance dps and also dps.. actually with out bards you suck.

what do healers do? well they heal and debuff . do they dps? better yet do they parse? can a healer out parse a necro(mage even) in raid? if you a healer can out dps a mage in raid then yes they should get DPS proc gear since they arent healing?

there are lines to be drawn in looting is all i was trying to say with my post.

simplefied DPS= get dps procs/gear

Healers= get healing proc items

tank/mt = hate proc items (the templar shouldent loot the chel legs, no clue if they can equip them even)

A good fury can get really decent numbers, especially on encounters where healing isn't so necessary... Actually that said our Mystics have been known to get around 2k, but I think that's melee.. Bleh I know nothing about how a shaman does that, I just laugh when I see them do that much dps.

I've seen our fury do 3k... more regularly between 1500 and 2k. Why not give proc items to someone who's really going hell-for-leather on trash?

As for the OP - sounds like the dirge deserves it, I hope it helps him get more satisfaction from his personal dps. A happy bard is v important :P

A good raidleader looks to increase raidwide damage. Not just the Brigand/Swash or Assassins.

I fail to see the problem here.

This entire argument is like saying a Coercer has less of a right to a nice Cloak then a Wizard, just because the Coercer isn't adding as much DPS.

Grats to the Dirge. With regard to the dude with bad english, anyone who leaves a raid guild over loot is a fag. It makes me happy that the healer got the proc item! At least they didn't waste it on a selfish motherfucker like you. Go /random 100 all.

I roll with 2 furys, 1 is full dps build, the other is healing. They both do their job. With regard to the bard, people absolutly need to be rewarded for their time and effort. So if it is 'questionable', then for sure the bard should have gotten it. The people who are there all the time keep the raid together. Those people need rewards.

Edit to add: The cool thing about raid guilds is there will allways be a ton of loot, everything you've seen drop will drop again.
