im missing any point of sarcasm if there was any but if you are agreeing that bards are dps then bitching about some fury taking some mage loots your seriously fucking retarded when a fury could easily outparse a bard.

i think the bigger bitch is mages getting butthurt that a fury is actually doing as well or even outparsing them, but if they would just stop being lazy and worry about their own dps they would get the job done.

If your guild is going over a dkp system, then it goes to the highest bidder. However, it is nice to see the items going to the people that are going to get the most use out of the item.

Usually when there is item that drops and benefits a specific class more ( for instance... a 30 sta, 30 wis, 30 int item w/ a effect: increases disease/poison spells) then our guild just states that they would like to see it go to that a warlock (instead of the templar). However, everyone is allowed to bid and that is what the dkp system is used for.

Also, I agree with the rest of the threads bards are important and you need to keep them happy. Personally, the only reason i would be upset with the outcome is if the bard was ninja afk during the raids or sucked ass.

It's also a board where people are a bunch of assholes. Of course he's going to get attacked, it sounded like he was crying that a CCM went to a dirge. It's just like a post in the dirge boards where a Wizard cried he got bid up by a dirge on a Robe of Al'Kabor. Which is where I got the post from Kall about people who think bards shouldn't take loot.

I hate bards and love them at the same time. Their DPS isnt really that important, you don't have bards in your raid for their DPS they are there for the rest of the DPS. When a bard takes an item that would greatly benefit another DPS class it pisses me off especially with weapons, but its a con of DKP and just something everyone needs to deal with.

bard gets the first Queens Tear (why a bard needs a 2k hate reduction is beyond me), first bisected sabre, all the bards had Grinning Dirk before me (I had Labs crap weapons until into EoF). Theres been others, most of the time it would not have been me who got it, so Im not crying. Bards seem to be more loot whorish than most, a lot probably has to do with the fact that if they were kind they would never get any loot lol. I definately dont think they should just step aside for the DPS classes everytime, but I think there are times when they should. This instance may or may not have been one of those times, I would say no personally, this late in the game I dont think its as big of a deal who gets what.

What needs to happen with a DKP system is that people should be aware of what the others need, not just themselves, so they dont deprive others of a larger upgrade. In the end it comes down to the individual and who has more DKP and no one should fault anyone for using their DKP to make themself better even if it mightve been better used elsewhere.

My opinion is, if your guild's rules permit whoever has the most DKP to win an item if you can use it, the dirge acted within his rights by outbidding your Swash's for the machete, and you should feel happy for him.

And I think you are wrong for coming here and calling out your guild and guildmate for doing something that was allowed by the rules of your guild. Even if you don't think you've called them out, you have done so here. I believe it's always best to accept loot decisions like this with grace, period. It's only loot.

I'm a defiler on my main. A long time ago, I out bid Itoock, a Paladin, for a Vraksakin Claw Club. I felt guilty about it at first, but not for long, because I've used that item every day I've played EQ2 since, and it has significantly increased my enjoyment of this game. The bottom line is, I was entitled to it, I deserved to win it, and much to Itoock's credit, he never complained about that.

If I was still in a guild that permitted straight DKP bidding, I would outbid any mage for the Robe of Al'Kabor if I had the opportunity to do that. I'd do that without hesitation, and I'd feel happy about it afterwards.

Last time I checked furys heal and dps why shouldn't they get dps items. Your point of view is seriously flawed.

Don't know what raid guilds your in but I put a fury in the mage grp. If there is no aoe and the mages don't pull aggro when the fuck is the fury healing? Maybe throwing a spot heal here or there to other grps but their healers can handle it too. So that leave the fury to dps.
